I recently downgraded from Vista to XP, but for some reason, I still have to get a new video driver for XP. I have a new NVIDIA Graphics card that supports Directx 10, which I have on XP.
I get that error, saying either Directx 8+ or updated video driver.
Can't Play :(

when you downgrade from Vista you will need a @** load of new drivers, unless you had a slipstreamed disc that you used. In any case, without knowing the specific video card that you have, I can't help you too much. You will need to identify the specific video card that you have and go to NVIDIA's website to download the driver for it.
Also - Xp does not support DirectX 10, only DX9...

First, I have to delete Directx10 and install 9, but my card is.
Where can I find that at lol.
I did
Run> Dxdiag, it sayd that my computer is running a generic video driver, and says install the one that is for the manufacture hardware.
Nevermind, I figured it out
Had to go to support.dell.com and see what drivers i needed, then found the same one that was compatible with XP now Guild Wars works AND!!! wont have random VISTA CRASHES!~!!

If you have a laptop, then yes: That's the only time to get graphics card drivers from Dell. If it's a desktop, just go to http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
