Why not add actual B-Day to /age?
hellknight17
I was thinking about this today and it makes sense to me. I mean I know about when all my 12 characters b-days are but the actual date would be nice.
What do you think?

I thought that as well, I guess it's kinda like a surprise you know lol? You get on everyday checking if today's the day, but it's not and then check the next day and it still isn't, then you check the third day and it's there and your all happy, then you open it and it's a jungle troll :S haha.

[email protected] Pretty much that is how it goes.
More or less because it's really not needed, would just be an extra thing for them to put in but meh. More fun to wait in suspense.

Hell, why we're at it why not add seconds to /age as well? Hard to use /age for time attacks (going for the best completion times on missions and stuff) if the most-specific it gets is the minutes spent.
Lugosi
If I remember this right, the /age command used to show quite precisely how long ago a character was created (months/days, can't remember if it also showed hours and minutes).
But for some odd reasons it was rather soon changed to what /age shows you now.

Unless it was recently changed in the last 24 hours, it shows days/weeks/months (once reaching 7 days, it goes to a week, 4 weeks goes to a month) since the character's creation, then shows how long you played it in hours and minutes. Then it says how long you've been in the outpost or instance, in minutes/hours.
The Arching Healer
If I type /age my screen gets allready green because of XXXXX hours plays in XXXXX years.
Unlucky Slayer
Just make a .txt file on your computer with all your characters B-Days. Serves the purpose well. And it allows Anet to work on GW2 if they really are doing that.
AsyaMordina
I thought a year in GW was 365 days, so the actual 'date' may change. Since some of us may not have logged the creation date for all characters, the actual birthdate may not have been recorded.
BenjZee
mostly because its hard for them to figure out your exact age etc especially because theres different amount of days in a month etc and the way it adds them all up. If i recall the changing of times such as daylight savings may also have effected this
slowerpoke
add it in title form, new non maxable vanity title, call it Veteran, displaying number of years. progress meter in the hero panel shows number of days till the next bday

So really, about the "day of creating your character" it only tells you months - and not too rarely not even the correct amount.
Ultima pyromancer
ive been at 35 months on one char for the last year i swear but w/e

shouldn't be hard at all for the emote to tell people the dates of birth. it's recorded somewhere, how hard would it be to display it in an emote.
KamikazeChicken
I just made an Excel file listing all the characters, and I put the date I found their presents. It's not 100% accurate, but at least I know when I should bother looking.
Abedeus
What if I have more important things in my life than writing down dates of birth of fictional characters?
If the game knows when character turns 1, 2 or 3 years old, it should be somewhere written.

flyinhigh
its a little time intensive but you can find out your age of all your characters just run /age every day for a month and write down when they go from xx months to zz months. theres your b-day.

I would feel bad for the people that created their character on February 29th.
