Treasure Chest

Hi, I just opened a chest and I got a Hypnotic Scepter, now if I log off and log back on later and go to that chest - can I open it again or is it a one time open?

Yes, you can open it again, even on more then one char. But you'll get an empty chest if that char has opened it recently. They reset about a month after you last opened them(no one knows the exact time between resets). The gold and items you receive, with each subsequent open, also diminishes.

As far as I've been able to determine, the chests reset one month after you last opened it (even if it was empty) on each character.
It might be a good idea to keep track so you don't end up trying a chest three days early resetting the one month wait without anything to show for it.

I might add that drop deteriorate each time you open the chest.
Last time I tried them on my main character, I got nothing but purples.

yes they do reset each month more or less from mi experience also,ive noticed that the more time goes by since the last time u opened them the better drops u will get,it might be luck i don't know for sure.

I'd also like to add, if you're in HM you get better drops, and i usually wait around 3 months before opening them again. That way you can get the best out of your drops without having to wait too long.
