I usually find myself using Heart of Fury for my dervish builds, but I'm never happy with it. Even with high mysticism, it doesn't really approach 100% uptime. So, what do ya'll use for your dervish IAS?

Either Flail or Drunken Master, if I'm not up for HoF.

If you feel like putting drinks down on your Dervish then Drunken Master is solid. It's not awful without booze, but I can't really justify it over Heart of Fury without it.

I haven't tried Onslaught since the update if you feel like sacrificing your elite for it; I wouldn't.

I would only use onslaught if it would allow me to reduce the energy of attack skills by 5.

But either drunken master or flail imo.

I use flail. It's free, cheap, and warrior secondary opens other nifties up, like dstrike.

HoF has always been the best option imo.

drunken master doesnt give full IAS unless you're drunk, and that's just a pain in the ass.

Flail uses adrenaline and if you are /w you should either have SY! or Wild Blow so you can't really use adrenaline skill

HoF gives you a full IAS for about 20 seconds which is plenty for most battles. and if you have an avatar build Eternal aura will give you near-permanent use of HoF.

When I use my avatar builds I usually go with HoF since when combined with Eternal Aura it can be kept up almost indefinitely. Lately I've been using Drunken Master on my WS build mostly because I'm getting lazy and it has such a long duration. I'd say for a dervish the only IAS skills worth running are Heart of Fury, Flail and Drunken Master (with High rank or booze). They all have their ups and downs and it really depends on what else you have on your bar.

Mostly HoF, although I have used Drunken Master, Flail or even Pious Fury (yes, I know it's kind of bad) in some circumstances. Whirling Charge seemed to be OK in PvP if Wind Prayers was on the build, but it doesn't seem to have much use outside that.

He asked what I use. HoF is a strong IAS, don't need 100% uptime.

I'd prefer [[Drunken Master] over [[Heart of Fury]. But if the Dervish is not the main (which is probably better ) then drinking much alcohol usually isn't an option and [[Heart of Fury] remains as the only possibility. Combining it with an Avatar and good timing on [[Eternal Aura] also help to keep it up longer (usually long enough for one battle). Oh, and the 20% longer enc scythe mod of cause which is generally useful for Dervishes.

Or just get an Assassin and run crit scythes with [[critical agility]

Enchanting scythes aren't awful, but many people have suggested swapping to a staff to cast duration-sensitive enchantments instead. I have to concede that they're right; most of the time enchanting isn't doing you as much help as +30 HP or +5 armor.
