Hi, My wife and I are both warriors and have been trying to do DoA for sometime now, and we are having a bit of trouble. I was wondering if anyone could help us out build wise and group makeup. We are only interested in doing it in normal mode. Any help would be greatly appreciated. We have all 3 Campaigns and EToN and "Save Yourselves" which seems to be a strong skill to have in most builds i have seen. Thanks for your help ahead of time. We get many wonderful ideas from yall and greatly appreciate all your hard work. Also if this is the wrong spot to post this could someone let me know where to post it please.

Have a Great New Year!

Lots of builds can work, generally I'd suggest having one of you be D-Slash for constant SY! and the other be ES for AoE-KD. Both of you should pull and corner-tank whenever possible, And heroes can simply be your favourite flavor of team builds. Discordway, Sabway, Nukers, whatever. A ritualist is extremely useful for splinter weapon, so I'd suggest bringing that.

6 Discord Necromancers

Just bring 3 necromancers like that, you won't need to worry about bringing that build that the player is supposed to have, as it really only speeds it up when you're running a 1-human, 3 hero, 4 henchmen team. By taking 6 discord necromancers, they'll easily be able to apply their hexes and conditions to lots of targets and spam discord quite nicely. Without any input from you or your wife. This will allow both of you to concentrate on more important things such as utilizing [Earth Shaker] and [Dragon Slash] in combination with [Save Yourselves!] to produce a knocked-down bunch of enemies, and a super-powered amount of armor for your whole team.

You`ll need some serious hex removal or you can forget about SY.

That is a post for all players but should give you some insight on how to go. It is aimed at HM though but the basic tactics would apply to NM also.

I would also recommend that one of you go [skill]Earth Shaker[/skill] for the AoE KD power of it if you can ball them effectively and [Skill]Dragon Slash[/skill] w/[skill]"Save Yourselves"[/skill] on the other warrior for the SY spam instead of a paragon.

Mixie is correct that you will need very strong hex removal to keep your SY spammer clean and able to shout at all. The build in the link uses a Divert Hexes monk but [skill]Peace and Harmony[/skill] is probably a better replacement with its buff. You may need to micro them though to be sure that the SY spamming warrior is kept clean instead of just anyone.

After those basic considerations just about anything can be tried. Go slowly and patiently though as you don't have an actual team of players. Things like the touchers in Veil may be an issue but you can change things for each area if you do them one at a time.

If you are attempting DoA with a team of mostly heroes, then you can try this instead, although I have not:

Just replace the paragon with a D-Slash SY warrior. You can probably replace the human monk with a hero monk and you only lose seed of life.

I would also check your Lightbringer ranks. The build requested the scythe sin (which can be replaced with a scythe warrior too), to be r8 and at least 600 life before consummables but if you are not a Holy Lightbringer yet, I would try with a r7.

Ok hopefully this posting area is still open. I had another question. Do you have to use consumables to beable to do Discordway in DoA in NM because i am having alot of difficulty doing Ravens Gloom with all those mobs for the first difficult quest where they come in waves or are the 40/40 weapon sets a must for these builds?

Thanks again for your time.

Consets aren't required to complete any part of the game, but Gloom's cave has the tendency to either make or break a grp. If you're interested, my guildie has a thread on some of his runs: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...hlight=heroway
