Yes, now you have to kill the luxon pop-ups before the area is secured, and nobody bothers doing it anymore.

Yes, it was nerfed. Now getting max Kurzick is less of a grind you may say. FA/JQ are way better sources for faction now imo + funner.

Yes, they killed it stone dead. If you were looking for risk-free survivor runs and free gold, you're S.O.L.
On the other hand if you wanted faction, it's now possible to get it way faster than HFFF used to... Vanquishing, Challenge Missions, PvP... all much less tedious than HFFF.

They nerfed hfff a while back so people started farming Amatz Basin, then they killed that. Now either AB/competetive mish/Vanquish/grind eotn style books/ or give up on kurz title.

I don't think anyone mentioned this yet so I'll say this once, yes it has been nerfed.

FA/JQ is a win win even if you lose you still get a decent amount of faction / also get baltz faction as well

I'm not sure if it's clear yet, but yes there was a nerf. 
Seriously, it's more fun now. Urgoz HM gives 15k faction in less than a half hour, way better than hfff. Plus 6 free amber and some junk golds out of the end chest. Or junk greens.

Yes, it's nerfed, and the quest reward isn't worth anywhere near the amount of effort it takes to do it (and certainly nowhere near what other options are these days). Most of Guild Wars is like this though, so whatever.
Aspenwood, Jade Quarry, and repeat Vanquishing are the way to go these days. Don't bother with books. It takes like 80-something HM books to max the title. Gotta love the balancing on those numbers, heh.
