Well I haven't played the game in many months, so I have a question.
I used to farm outside Bergen Hot Springs on Hard Mode with my Mo/D Using mystic regeneration. This worked well for me, but I gave it a go today and I got only one gold drop, and no other drops to note of in about 5 runs. So i am wondering if this farm got nerfed?
So my question is, 1. Is Bergen Hot Springs still a valid place to farm? 2. What alternatives are there, when using a similar if not the same build? I am experienced in using the build, so all I really need is possible locations to put it into practice.
Thanks all.

I usually just run Gates of kryta in hm with my Mo/D.
[Monk Undead;Owok4oPLktiT94uyeNIUf3q8AgA]
Gold item drops, decayed orr emblems, dust, bones. I had a post a while back with the map of the run I do, I'll try and post it here. I normally go farther than Just behind the house with the little fence.
Check it out here. It's on the first page, 3 post up from the bottom.
And this is just one of the spots that's good with Mo/D, I might even be able to remember more if I ever bothered to play my monk anymore...

Maybe you just had a bad run?
Sometimes I will get 2-3 golds, and sometimes I will run a dozen times with no golds at all. It is semi-random.
The only farming pattern I see is that after doing the same area a few times, the first few critters don't drop. And after a while, guys tend to drop collectables rather than items. Go do some missions or runs some other areas, and this seems to go away.

Well considering your join date says 2005, they've made it so that not every monster drops an item now... that was about the end of 2005..

Thanks, Seems it was just my luck then. I'll try farming them again and see what happens.

I farm Nebo Terrace/Cursed Lands from Bergen Bot Springs all the time. Some runs, you won't get any Gold drops, others, like my personal best, you might get 7.
The run I do I've posted below. You'll need ID kits and Sup Salvage kits.
Exit Bergen Hot Springs into Nebo Terrace
Farm Undead between BHS and Cursed Lands
Exit Nebo Terrace into Cursed Lands
Vanquish Cursed Lands
Exit Cursed Lands into Black Curtain
Immediately re-enter Cursed Lands
Vanquish Cursed Lands
Exit Cursed Lands into Nebo Terrace
Farm Undead between Cursed Lands and BHS
Exit Nebo Terrace into BHS
[if your bags are full, sell, if not Exit BHS into Nebo Terrace and do it all over again until your inventory is full]
Easy farm. Tons of crafting mats if you salvage any drop not worth @ least 100g. I've used this farm to fill up on Bone, Wood, Iron, Steel, Glittering Dust, Cloth, Tanned Hide, Leather Squares, and occasionally Linen.
[Protective Spirit][Mystic Regeneration (PvE)@8][Shield of [email protected]][Signet of Mystic [email protected]][Balthazars [email protected]][Essence Bond][Balthazars [email protected]][Blessed Aura]
Smiting 12+1+3
Earth Prayers 8
Split the rest of your Attribute Points between Protection Prayers and Divine Favor, with the obligatory Superior Runes.
Yes, the Undead will scatter due to [[Balthazar's [email protected]], but it's good to use in a few spots where a Damned Cleric won't die (due to their annoying habit of spamming [[Reversal of Fortune]) or Skele Monks keep Infusing the other Undead and it's dragging your run time out. If you want, sub out [[Shield of Absorption] for [[Balthazar's Aura] so that you can take more aggro, especially in Cursed Lands with the long walk of Skeleton Rangers/Bowmasters.
The Undead will quickly become The Dead.

Fahranur, The First City is a good location. It's located on Istan in Nightfall, one of the newbie missions. Put it on Hard Mode and you can clear the skale and undead easily. I like to use Judge's Intervention to spike the undead and it works well against the skale, too. Unlike with Balth's Aura, you don't have to worry about mob scatter. I keep Blessed Sig handy just in case I wind up needing energy to keep up Mystic Regen and/or Prot Spirit in a pinch.
[Mo-D SoJ Intervention;Owok4sPKktiT9g9aQcrpE9h8AgA]
You can use the Mo-D or just the classic SoJ 55 build to clear all of the Hydra in Skyward Reach, which is really easy. Not the best run out there, but I usually net 2-3k per run, a few golds, ele tomes, and about another 1k merching white/blue/purple items.
Assuming you never completed the quest Defend North Kryta Province and there are still Titans outside of Lion's Arch,
[Mo-N Spoil Victor Spike;OwQUQ4W+OoR1DgEqQ3giEyD6DAEA]
Use Spoil Victor on the Titans and finish them off with a Necrosis spike. Watch out for the Water Titans, as Maelstrom will interrupt you and ruin the run. Simply move out of Maelstrom's AoE and then get back to business. Stay away from the Rotting Titans. You can take them down, but it's not worth the hassle.

Just for some clarification:
How and when exactly are the conditions met for [Judge's [email protected]]? Does the skill calculate "fatal damage" and trigger before [Protective [email protected]] reduces incoming damage, or do you have to let PS drop for a split second (assuming you aren't in danger of dying from degen, which Intervention does/does not trigger off of?) so that the fatal damage could occur?
I haven't used Intervention in my builds, so I'm curious as to how it would work.
As far as energy management, that's why I bring [Signet of Mystic [email protected]] to spike with. It has a long recharge, but 100 (200 vs. undead) damage is nothing to sniff at, especially when it doesn't cost a single point of energy. Balthazar's Aura is for when I need things to scatter (sometimes pop-ups can gather quickly, and the DF heal plus per-second AoE damage both do wonders to mop up incoming damage/control-break aggro/mini-spike during a long cast by enemies) or am waiting the few seconds for SoJ to recharge and I need some extra damage - but only if energy allows, and generally only vs. specific targets that I know will stand and cast through it, or that have to be backed off in numbers.

That's what I was looking for MisterB, thanks.
