Refresh and Update me on Guild Wars!

hey guys, i just reinstalled GW (proph, nf, eotn) after a 1 year break. However, i absolutely cant remember ANYTHING in the game. Whether it be money making, controls, quests/missions, EVERYTHING lol. I have 1 character that is a lvl 20 r/e. I was hoping i had more money but i logged in to see 8.5k in my account lol.

Ha so ya, can you guys basically tell me what i am suppose to do now? I have no time to create a new char and do the campaigns again =[

besides collecting titles, )which i forgot how to do as well), what do you guys do now? how do you make money? should i level up all my heroes to 20? what are some ranger tips?

lastly, i have 516 health and 28 mana on my ranger, is that good?

You can take a gander at what has changed there. Way too much to list here.

Just start playing the game again. Wiki is your best friend Get heroes, level them up, fit them out. Refresh your knowledge on skills and bars, insignia and runes. Might wanne join an active pvp or pve guild. etc.

I wouldn't uninstall it, but if you're not going to start a new character I don't know what you're going to do. Go to Eye of the North areas and grind around for titles or try and collect sweet or alcohol maybe.

There's a new hero you can get now that you won't have.

You ought to buy Factions. It's a horrible game, but when I played I loved it as an effective way to race a toon to 20 and get max armor without any effort, then I shot him off to Proph or NF areas to actually play. That way you can go back and do fun stuff without the crawl to 20 and max armor.

If you can't remember anything, then its a whole new game for you and no one should want to spoil it for you as part of the enjoyment is discovering things Therefore, play the game, have fun and happy new year!

I think the game is still worth playing....

If the game isn't fun to you after a while of playing, just uninstall it then, give it a chance, don't listen to these people that quit the game long ago and just on the forum to troll/QQ.

Rule #1 when starting to play this game again is to IGNORE GURU. There are a lot of people who lurk around here just to bitch about how the game is dying. Dont bother paying attention to them, they have to get their jollies somehow. Wiki is your friend. Join a decent guild. Guild Wars is exactly what you make of it, so dont take it too seriously and have fun.

Nothing has really changed. Nothing significant anyway. No new content. The game is pretty much dead.

Don't listen to the people that tell you that this game is dead...people have been saying that since the release of NF and even before that.

Like other have said, join a guild and use the wikis. If you want to relearn the basics create a new character for the tutorial.

seriously.... why do people still come on these forums and complain and discourage others and discuss things even when they don't even play the damn game anymore... I mean c'mon, do you have anything else better to do? this has bugged me for a while... it's also a credibility issue I see with these people.

Don't let the whinies get you down. They are,by far,the worst aspect of this game. A bunch of crybabies who are impossible to please and even throw free gifts back at Anet because they can.

The reality is that there was tons of content added wile the original stuff is still there if you don't like the new things. The game is better and deeper then ever.

If you're the type who just wants to mess around, or enjoys the majority of games currently on the market, you'll be fine. If you expect clever design, good story and writing, NPC characterization, deep gameplay, active competition, or a lot of other things, be wary.

There is absolutely no motivation to play PVE or farm anymore except for title grind.

Doing high end areas or farming bosses for rare skins and greens is beyond pointless thanks to Zchest and BMP weapons, HA and GVG is dominated by elitists, the only thing that is still fun to do is playing idiot builds in RA for roffles.

Once you complete the main campaigns, there is no more fun to be had.

I require NPC characterisation and deep gameplay, I am seriously not enjoying current day games as much as I enjoy replaying Baldurs Gate 1+2 and Morrowind.

Absolutely. Every single game I've ever played, no matter if it started out as THE BESTEST GAME EVAR!!!!, at some point it became "that game that has shown me every trick I might possible ever want to see out of it...". For some reason, this did not motivate me to spend the next year or two bashing it and telling others not to play it. Instead, I simply did something else. There is something fundamentally flawed in the reasoning dept of anyone who has played more than 50 hours per expansion and thinks the game is inherently flawed and dead. I've been playing the game more than 13 months on and off, have logged over 1000 hours of game play, and am still nowhere near the point of having seen every trick the game has to offer. Whatever flaws GW has, it's strengths are remarkable and I wish every other game I've ever played could be this bad
