Messed up!!! Need help!!!

Ok so i logged back in tonight from playing this morning, and i thought it was weird because instead of just loading the original screen it said something like reloading database or something, and it took a good 20 minutes to do that and a good five to do update or something, and my account name wasn't in the box, something i found odd, anyways i got into my account and i found all my characters in starter armor basically, and i tried to get on my mesmer, which is what i'm doing now, and i'm just in my guild hall and i have to load 26,000 Files, somethings wrong, i have never given any account info away, and am afraid of losing all my elite armor and weapons for my characters, if anyone has any idea of what could of happened or what i can do to solve this problem i would like feedback ASAP, please and thanks!

ur gw.dat got corrupted (or missing? 0__o) somehow

did u accidentally delete ur gw folder or sumptin?
maybe a system restore...but that would prolly remove the shortcut as well

i dun think theres any prob wit ur account in regards to lost info or hacking
but if u want to be extra safe u can change ur password i guess
i wouldnt worry bout it tho

Try to use the -image commandline, and let it download all the files. Your gw.dat file should be around 3,6 to 4 GB in size. If it's less, it means it's probably corrupt. Your characters should still have all the stuff you got; they are saved server-side. But if the files of your stuff aren't on your computer it will display the basic stuff, like starter armour.
