Elite skill updates that you Love/Hate (PvE)
ajc2123
Exactly in the title. Remember all those elites that got buffed? Which skills do you LOVE because you can use them in good builds but HATE when you have to fight against them? Im not suggesting changes, just wanted to know if anyone else feels like this.
For me it has to be these two.
Thunderclap. I love this elite now since its like BHA epidemic in one nice little skill, then i can have a barrage ranger do the rest.
Reason I hate it?
Mhenlo "Hey guys! Its the AoE spellcaster killer! Lets get all the support H/H in the area and stay there! YAY FOR DAZE" YEah thats my experience with it. I know i can flag em away, but usually there are a couple mursaats at once and its hard to keep track of everything at once.
Ray of judgement. AoE armor ignoring damage + burning and doesnt cause scatter (yet) are you kidding me? Its fantastic! My mesmer can arcane echo it with my RoJ hero's and vanquish almost everything! Very fun skill. Its visual is very nice too!.
Reason I hate it?
H/H AI is almost just like monsters. They dont move! Luckily its visual SCREAMS run away so i can notice it. UNLUCKILY by the time i can flag my heroes 3 seconds are past, they get hit by the 4th second, and all that AoE armor ignoring damage and burning adds up and usually an afflicted ele can finish off the rest of your party.
Yes both of these can be countered easily, but its just one of those love hate things.
So you guys feel like this about any skills?

All I really have to say on the subject is that the RoJ Buff has given me a reason to use Ogden again.. as a Smiter.

Flashing Blades buff has always been a pain in my butt. It was annoying before but since that update it made it super annoying. It is like they are delaying death. I wish they could just /resign.
shoyon456
In general they lack attention to detail.
The Avatar of Grenth update with the +20 hp steal has been suggested by myself and others for ages now, and I still do not see why it was for PvE only, but this was the most meaningful update to me.

Love it cause it helps my fellow luxons take down Gunther & Co. in Fort Aspy.
Hate it cause it reduces [frenzy] to the point to where is only lasts somewhere around a second.

I hate every Elite update that spawns threads like this.

Love Shadowform even though it was semi-nerfed, great farming skill.
Hate it because there is always 1 afflicted assasin who uses it right before he dies and you have to sit there for another 20 seconds just to wait for it to come off.
Love Peace and Harmony, Aka hex/condition free world.
Hate it because it kills my discord way spamming spree.

I really like the new Ray of Judgment elite. The visual is indeed nice too.

VoR because a skill with an awesome skill icon deserves at least to be mediocre in pve.

Not an update, per se, but I CAN NOT go into battle without:
[Escape]: 14 Expertise
That said, I absolutely HATE trying to kill people who use:
[Escape]: 14 Expertise
Hate [Palm Strike] and will never love it.

I hate Palm Strike because in a random enviroment you're RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOed if you see one of these 'Sins, and they are using a non-bad build.
I love Symbols of Inspiration because it allows me to be extremely flexibile in some given situations while still carrying snares and shit. Palm Striking a Palm Striker on a Me/E is funny, WoH'ing the shit out of my team on a Me/E is funny, VoR'ing the shit out of the enemies as a Water Snare is funny, Eviscerating Eviscerate Warriors on a Me/E is funny... I think you get the point.

Thanks for reminding me to play a bit with [Symbols of Inspiration] Tyla

[palm strike] has become a good friend pretty quickly.
Hate [mark of insecurity] because it craps all over my [shadow walk][dash] combo.
