Hero's that go well with Ranger

Looking for General PvE, and Vanquishing.

I'd say, if you want to take it back real old school style

You, Margrid, Jin, Pyre, all 4 R/N Touchers. It's hella fun and deviated from the normal sabway or discrodway. If not, just run either of those, guaranteed to get the job done with a bit of competence

If you want general pve/vanquishing, you could always go barrage/pet, too. Take three ranger heroes, give them barrage and a pet. Anything else you add to the bars just makes life easier.

Or you could just go sabway, but at least with b/p you have a slight challenge.

What exactly is Sabway?

Discord heroes run fairly well with most professions. You might be interested in using the smiter monk trio with the new Ray of Judgement, but I'm not sure that a single ranger can dish out enough of its own dmg to compensate for enemy AI fleeing from RoJ's aoe.

Sabway's pretty much a compilation of builds centered around your standard ss nec, mm, and n/rt healer heroes.

Oh ok. So Sabway is the best way to go?

For Ranger.

I'd disagree since Discordway's direct dmg and support make sabway pale in comparison.

You can use a build like this with discordway:

Here is the build that I normally use in PvE for vanquishing and doing dungeons in HM, it seems to work well.

Since this is a fairly high energy build I run with all radiant insignias and and attunement runes. With a rune of Minor Marksmanship on the head, a Major Expertise on the gloves and a Superior Rune of Vigor on the feet.

I have been working mainly in Eye of the North. For Heroes I use the general Sabway build and for henchies I use Herta (Earth Ele), Mhenlo (Healer), Talon (Guardian Henchman), and Zho (Interrupt).

I know that this brings along 2 BHA's but it seems to work well for me.

I do change things up for dungeons depending on the dungeon. If there are no corpses I will find new heroes to bring along, or if there are Stone Summit, I will bring along [frozen soil] in place of [lightning Reflexes], to help stop the Rez fest.

So far with this I have vanquished a few of the areas in EotN, including Sacnoth which can be hard and I have beaten all the dungeons in HM except I think 3 now. (I cannot beat Vloxen, no matter how hard I try, so good luck with that.)

Run a Barrager, when you're having caster problems take Technobabble, if they're that serious take BHA / Volley and Epidemic to compliment BHA.

I use Discordway for my shit. I sometimes run off another build but it's pretty f*cking wierd.
