Favourite Pets?

I'm talking about ranger pets here, not mini's. So, which pet is your fav.? why? which damage type do you prefer? does your pet seem faster then others you've tried? or is your fav. pet choise purly cosmetic?

First off I go for Dire Pets ... because DP usually doesn't matter (PvE, HB, AB etc) but DPS does.
The rest is cosmetic.
I like big and rare pets so a Dire White Moa was after many other dire pets the final choice for my Ranger.

Well i like the looks of the Wolves, current pet on my ranger but i like my Dire Raven even more 
i charmed him without death leveling so i had to go kill those dam wurms outside boreal station....the result is worth it :P

But anyway, I have many various pets on Ranger Heroes. My Ranger character has also had many pets, but I usually go back to my favourite - the Melandru's Stalker. My pets are always Hearty (except for the dire wolf I charmed, and the Black Moa(?)) because I use them mainly as blockers, not damage dealers.
I always come back to the Stalker because I like the look of it and the brown colour goes with my armor.

I still have the Stalker that I started with. I haven't had the heart to let her go and try something else.. I think I'd be sad. The Stalkers are a nice balance between damage dealing and taking. Plus, they look cool.

Got myself a Dire White Moa, only reason I got a White Moa is because it's pretty big at a low level and I was tired of having midget dire pets.
Also, it's probably worth noting that ordinary bears have a lower DPS because they use Brutal Mauling.

Black Moa is my current favourite came already leveled Its elder I think.
I got the jingle bear on one character recently and eventually hope to get the spider and a white Moa.
Would like more damage variation between pets both in type and speed of attack etc.
Pet hate if I can put it that way is the Phoenix Eagle etc, I do have a phoenix and the animation is rubbish.
Have a pet that flies fine let it fly having one that walks then flies just to catch you up is rubbish.
You knew very well you were not going to allow a free flying pet so why choose flying species.

Black wolf is my favourite.. White Tiger from Echovald Forest is also nice. My all ranger heroes have Lions.

I'd say ther Black Widow, but then that's mainly as I have a thing for spiders. Since i rarely play BM it's pretty much a moot point

Hippo. Sucks that they got removed.

My current Ranger doesn't have a Pet. I rushed him through Pre to use him as a storage mule. Not sure what I am going to get with him yet, probably go for a Phoenix, Black Moa, and then Widow for my HoM.
My Perma-Pre, which is about to get remade, was a Warrior with no secondary who did the trial Ranger quest to get an animal companion. At level 11 he had a level 15 Dire Wolf, Cerberus. He's going to be re-rolled because I went W/Mo to do the Bandit Dye farm, but that's boring as all get out, and I miss my Dire Wolf.

I have a Lynx that I got the first time I went through North Kryta with my ranger. I will never trade him in as I am very sentimental about him.

i had a pet pig for the longest time. Sgt Bacon was his name and he rarely saw action because i usually stuck with the bow.
my 3 ranger heroes got ravens because they dont crowd the screen too bad in numbers
cant say i was ever sentimental about pets because i went through just about every one at one point or another

I never play my ranger, but he still has his UW Spider, wouldn't dream of changing it.
