Someone Help Me Please!!

Well, here is my problem....

I just got Guild Wars today and I absolutely love it! Me and my friend were playing and he said he had to go do homework, so i started my first mission to buy the time. Turns out I moved 2 years into the past. I did the mission where I killed the Deathtooth or something and moved in the future 2 years.

Could someone tell me if this is normal and if my friend can play with me without doing the mission. I would really like to go back to the old Ascalan city and play with him, plus i didnt do all of my quests.

You are obviously playing in Prophesies.
You have done something called Searing. This brings you 2 years into the future into a burned Ascalon. You can't go back with your friend. But he will come into your "world" soon enough.

If you weren't too far in you can just remake your character and start again. Nothing really lost. Most of us players have played Pre-Searing many times anyways.

Your old quests from when you were still in Pre-Searing(green happy place)? No, you should just abandon them as they'll only clog up your quest log.

Anyway, as mentioned, you can't go back on that char. Your three current options to play with your friend again are 1)delete and remake your char, 2)make a new char with one of your other slots or 3)wait for your friend to arrive at Post-Searing after he does the same quest you did last.
