Does the +1 Attribute Mod like a handle, grip, or Mastery Insc. for foci and Shields get triggered even if you use a skill of different or unlinked attribute?
Thx.
+1 Att mod or Mastery Insc.

No.
The game would only trigger a Swordsmanship +1 (20%) mod when using a Swordsmanship skill.

It might trigger, but the +1 is on a different attribute so that it doesnt effect it. The only real way to test this would have been with the old lions comfort, or maybe using the glowing skills and a wrapping of energy storage to see if you can get 1 extra energy back.

To explain my question more, Lets say you have a +1 swordsmanship handle and you have 14 atts in swordsmanship. You then use a strenght or any other att attack skill like power attack or unliked skill like wild blow. Do you have a chance to get 15 att in swordsmanship with the attack?

From Wiki:
Using a non-wand weapon, a shield, or a focus item that has a chance to invoke a +1 bonus to an Attribute when the player uses a skill. This ability has a variable chance of success (10-20%). Wands do not have the +1 ability, while shields only provide +1 for non-weapon attributes, so no profession has a chance of a total +2 rank bonus with this method. This bonus only affects a skill's "green numbers" (ie. "X...Y" parameters), not the other inherent effects of an attribute, such as extra healing from Divine Favor or increased damage from one of the "weapon mastery" attributes.
So, sounds like it CAN trigger the bonus, but the bonus wouldn't add anything to a skill from another line ie, no bonus armour penetration from strength.
Hmm, never knew that myself. Only makes these mods suck more, IMO.
