Personally, I wouldn't bother. There are too many guilds out there and it is late in the game. People want to be in an already made guild, not start one up - and those that want to start one up want to lead (too many of those obviously).
I highly go against guild making unless you already have a few people who'd want to join - whenever I made a guild, I always had five to fifteen people who would join, and those all eventually failed because people went inactive and new members didn't like being in because they did not know others (and refused to get to know others). If you really want to lead this new guild - and have people in it - I would suggest trying to get your friends to join. Don't bother filling out the hall with anything more than storage for now, wait till you get a good amount of people (15 to 20) before you get other necessities (i.e., merchant and priest, possibly rune trader). Also, focus on getting a fun alliance before recruiting random people. And get your friends to bring their friends. Many people will not leave their guild, I'm sure, so that will be a problem. Just focus on getting talkative and active people that you know, and people who your friends (or simply people you know) know. Likeliness of your guild succeeding as an active guild - slim, just due to the time of the game's life you made it. Of course, all of that is my personal opinion, and others will end up disagreeing with me. |
