Impossible to get 100% Cartography?

I was getting started on the cartography title, and while browsing through wiki I found this:

Some areas are only accessible early on: the low-level arenas, and some tutorial areas. Explore them early before you lose the chance to do so.

So having only started it with my level 20 now, and since I never entered the Ascalon Arena before have I lost the chance to get 100% cartographer title, for the other continents with their low level arenas? This seems awfully flawed to me, so I'm asking if anyone out there can tell me how to do it. Thanks.

You can still get 100%. There is a bit 'extra' land so the total is about 105%. The people who unfogged those areas just have it a bit easier.

There is about 102-105% that you can actually map on each continent, so there's plenty of wiggle room if you cannot get into areas cut off from you.

In the case of the Ascalon, Shiverpeak, Istan and Shing Jea arenas, you can still go into the lobby and hug the walls tight enough and you'll still get enough percentages.

You have not lost the chance to get 100% carto. Don't worry

yeah tyria has a lot of extra space for error. Cantha is a bit more tight on space although there is a nice glitched spot above eredon the luxon town

I believe that Eredon glitch was fixed a couple of updates ago.

OP: Be sure to take advantage of the upcoming Canthan New Year festival to map the Monastery Overlook, even if you aren't ready to work on the rest of Cantha. Characters that are not native to Factions can only get to this area a couple of times a year, during festivals.

alittle tip if you still fall short is to re do some areas ,you can still earn % to your title even if you dont see fog disapear just make sure you face wall and hug.

And also don't forget to map the middle of explorible areas as well as the walls. It took me ages to map Elona because I'd missed paths in the middle of a couple of areas that I hadn't noticed were still fogged

I don't think the eredon glitch was fixed- I've not heard anything about that. But I second the idea to hug the middle as well. I was a couple tenths of a percent from 100% and was really frustrated until I realized there were a couple areas around mountains and so on in the middle of the map that were still fogged - oops!

I did the Eredon glitch about a month ago for my title and it still worked.

Even if they 'fixed' the Eredon glitch, if you own the town you can do it from in town...

For prophecies, there's enough leeway in cartography to hit 100% without touching the final mission. While there isn't that much in the other campaigns, there's still more than enough to get 100% without going to the arenas. Like has been said, take advantage of the upcoming holiday to map out around Shing Jea Boardwalk, that'll net you about a point. Just scrape the walls, scrape the center, and you'll have legendary cartographer in no time.

Glitch has *not* been removed, still as easy to get back there as it's always been.

I hope that anet leaves that one alone, partially because there's other problems I'd prefer the remaining team to be working on and partially because Cantha is the continent with the least leeway on the cartographer title and it really does help. Especially for people like me with server positioning issues who seriously had to spin and strafe around one tiny spot for ten minutes before the fog would clear. >< My cartographer titles took way longer than they should have.

You can still get it of course, my friend finished his by exploring the tip of Haiju Lagoon or something...Time consuming title, so the 5 percent helps

It works, texmod helps remove the grind of scraping everything 5 times to get that last .1%, and there's a boatload of extra space that even texmod doesn't even show as mappable. (if you use texmod it'll come up solid black when you clear it. lots of that in tyria)
