Hey i originally played at launch but left after getting my first toon to level 20. decided that all other mmo's on the market were either full of kiddies *cough*WoW*cough* or ruined by the devs *cough*SWG*cough*.
Anyways ive now bought NF, Factions and GWEN, added the keys onto my old account and made a few more level 20s. now im slowly getting armour upgrades and playing through the new storylines but have a few questions that i cant seem to find in the wiki or on the forum search.
1. Im trying to build up my Ebon Vanguard rep to unlock the Armoursmith in Eye of the north. i need 26k rep but cant seem to find where to view my current rep points on my character
2. the shop lists options to buy all skills from whatever campaign for a nominal fee, does this apply to all toons on said account and if so is it actually worth it?
3. is there a list of dungeons/content aimed at those that have reached level 20 that shouldnt be missed that arent accessed by the primary story arch? e.g. i found the temple of ages purely by chance.
4. upon upgrading armour and weapons with runes is there a chance of destroying your item as well as runes? Ive played too many korean mmos and want to be prepared!
many thanks! and sorry for being a returning nublet
viewing your rep and a couple more Qs

1. Press H, second tab
2. It adds to unlocked skills, not bought skills. This applies to Heroes and PvP characters

4. Yes. There's a certian kind of salvage kit in Eye of the North that will never break the item. For more information go here.
Edit: I'm sorry, I just noticed you said you checked the wiki. Heres more info on the elite areas. Also note that the entirety of Eye of the North is meant for Level 20 characters which is why you cant even travel there until you're level 10(search wiki for 'dungeon', every thing in that list is "elite" as well).

Press H then click on Titles and scroll down to see how many Rep points you have in Vanguard.
Its handy if you want to have all skills unlocked for Heroes .
Some parts of the game are starting point for Elite mission i.e. Temple of Ages (ToA) and are necessary for that purpose
To make sure no runes are destroyed accidentally when upgrading use a Perfect Salvage Bag available from EOTN

2. If you want a quick unlock its worth getting the skills for you PvP characters and Heroes, but if you dont mind trying to unlock the diferent skills, then dont bother with it.

4. There is a chance of the item being destroyed, if you use a perfect salvage kit, your item will not be destroyed. Also you dont need to remove the upgrade on an item before putting a new one on, so unless you think that the current mod is worth alot, you should probably just place the new mod over it.

Lord Of Blame
1. Press H, as previously stated. Do not forget to get the blessings when you are in an EoTN explorable area. Blessings can be obtained at the res shrines, +1 title point per kill in NM and +2 points in HM. You also get other points for bounties, ie, boss bounty, hunt rampage, etc. Be sure to get the blessings. Also turning in completed hero and dungeon handbooks give rep points and is the fastest way IMO to gain rank in the titles. Certain PVE skills gain power the higher your rank is.
2. I personally would not by them unless you are going to do alot of PVP. If your doing mostly PVE then it is not worth it IMO because even though it's unlocked you must still buy the skill from the trainers, or for a little less money you could use skill tomes to get the skills, provided they are unlocked. Even if the skill is unlocked on one character you still have to buy the skill from a trainer or use a skill tome, not worth the money, but like I said if you are doing alot of PVP then it is worth it to buy the unlock skill packs.
3. Dungeons and elite areas are designed for level 20 characters. Some elite areas are: Underworld, Fissure of Woe, Sorrows Furnace, Tomb of the Primeval Kings, The Deep, Urgoz's Warren, and Domain of Anguish. Dungeons are in EoTN only. I doubt you will get into any group for an elite area or dungeon if you are not a lvl 20. Most elite areas do not allow henchmen, only heroes and humans. Dungeons can be done solo with heroes and henchmen in NM but in HM you are better off getting in a group or bringing a friend with heroes.
4. If you upgrade armor with runes or insignias you will never destroy the armor, however if add a rune or insignia to a piece of armor that already has one then you will loose the rune or insignia that is already on there. Armor only has a chance of being destroyed if you are salvaging the runes and insignias that area already on them. This can be avoided with a perfect salvage kit. This is the same for weapons. You can add anything to it without destroying the item, you will only loose what you are replacing it with, for example: you have a staff with a +30 health hale head and you want to put a +5 energy insightful head on it, when you put the insightful head on you will loose the hale head. Once again you can salvage the hale head but if you don't use a perfect salvage kit then you have a chance of destroying the weapon. Just remember that simply adding something to armor or weapons will never destroy it, it's only when you take things off (salvage) that you chance loosing the item. The one exception to this rule is hero armor, it can never be destroyed so you can use a regular salvage kit to pull off runes and insignias.
Hope this info helps...Your best friend will be wiki. Use it well...

Hybrid Meteroa
I think this person, for his 5th question, is asking if when you UPGRADE items if they can be broken. Not when you try to salvage mods off of weapons/upgrades. Because he's talking about the Korean MMOs, which if I can remember correctly, with games like MapleStory your items can be destroyed when trying to apply runes and such. Maybe I'm wrong, because I haven't played MapleStory in a very very long time, so I'm not sure, so sorry if I am.
But here are the facts:
When upgrading armor or weapons with runes and mods, nothing will be destroyed. The only bad thing that can occur is you will the longer have the rune in your possesion and any runes or insignias on the armor will be replaced with the new one you just applied.
Now, let's say you want to take the rune or mod OFF of the weapon/armor. You have to use an Expert Salvage Kit. When doing THIS, there is a chance that your item gets destroyed. But as people have mention already, there are ways around this.
Hope this helped, I'm not even sure if this was the question you were asking or not, but I think it is, so there ya go! =P
