Whenever I'm in fullscreen mode, guild wars refuses to let me enable AA. When in a window, AA works though. I can use AA in any other game I play (cod4, fallout 3, css, etc...) I'm using the catalyst 8.12 drivers with a 4870 under vista x64 ultimate if that helps. Anyone else had this problem? Here is the specific error message:

I get the same problem with my 4850. The way I do it is force AA trough the CCC panel.
This is my other PC that uses a nVidia card so I can't really do you a step by step.
Anyway, if you right click on the desktop or left click on the ati icon in the system tray, you will have the option to go to the driver options. One of those will allow you to force AA, even higher levels that you would possible select in game.

I don`t know how much this will help, i run x64 Vista Ultimate on radeon 3870 and i have expirienced game freeze and numerous system problems after installing Catalyst 8.12. Reverted to 8.10 and everything is normal i play GW on 1280x1024 with everything on high seting including AA !
I had numerous BSOD with newest catalys "bad_pool_caller" which points to faulty DRIVER or memory (since i checked memory and switched complete set with my friend i can pretty much say it`s a crap driver from ATI).
Hope this help u a bit !

I'm not sure what version of the drivers I'm running. I have a 4870 running at 1680x1050 with everything maxed (4xAA - ingame), Vista 32-bit, and I don't have that problem.
