Legion of the Feng Huang [ASH]

At this time, we have entered a process of joining an alliance. If this alliance does not work out, this message will (likely) be re-posted. Thank you for taking interest in our guild.

Hello everyone,

Our guild, [ASH], is looking for a new alliance. We’re an adult-oriented guild that is highly laidback. The average age is around mid-twenties, although we have a few younger people (down to, say, 15-16) and a few older ones (50+). We are currently Luxon, but are willing to consider a switch to Kurzick if we feel it is in our best interest.

We operate with a unique ‘formula’ of self-governance. This means that in ASH, we do not have a leader. Our Guild Leader is a storage account which several people have access to, for administration reasons only. All members, from the point that they join until the point that they leave, are officers. Common sense is the rule in our guild. This means having respect for everyone in our guild, not begging and not overdoing the profanity or ‘leetspeak’. This helps us keep a calm, relaxed environment. If any element disturbs this environment, despite our self-governance, swift action will be taken on behalf of the guild.

Our guild consists of a core of experienced, mature players. Most of us have been playing this game for several years, and thus know most (if not all) sections of the game. Operating on a semi-communistic base, we do not trade in our guild. Instead, we often freely give help, materials or money when and if they are needed. This goes hand in hand with the self governance we practice.

We are currently at 81 accounts in our guild, which would probably boil down to 65-70 people – most of whom have logged on in the past week. We however do not operate any activity requirements for now, though this may come later if we face trouble facilitating possible new recruits. (Though it is more likely second and third accounts will be removed at first). However, due to our self-governing policy, we are reasonably selective about our recruitment.

These simple values were either not found, or died out in our previous alliances. This is why we decided to make this post – so we can make it clear what we are, and what we would like from our alliance.

What are we looking for in an alliance?
We expect a high level of maturity from our alliance, no “lol he sed kurdick” or “omg lmao suxons”. In the same manner, we expect respect from and for everyone. If there are discussions (be they about current events or which build is best), we expect both parties to be open to advice, criticism and to have the ability to agree to disagree.

In a similar token, we would prefer the alliance to be mainly adult-oriented as well. We are used to saying what we want (non-hurtful, obviously), when we want. Our sense of humor at times can be crude, and between friends it’s not uncommon to throw some insults. This is however all in jest - an alliance that understands this kind of humor is pretty much required.

Also, whilst we do not mind helping new players learn about, and enjoy the game – we would like to be able to play on a similar turf with other people. This means doing vanquishes, dungeons, HM and so-on. Most of our guild is PvE, so PvP activity is not really needed. (It would however be appreciated by our few PvP playing members.) One of the most important things is the willingness to not only receive help, but to give help when needed as well. Activity on Ventrilo (which our guild uses) is a plus.

Finally, the core of our guild stems from a certain large PvE guild, which had highly strict rules and requirements. We do not want this. Weekly/monthly meetings, reports, these are all things that simply will not happen from our side, and we’re not interested in any alliance requiring them.

If you are interested in recruiting us in to your alliance, please feel free to contact me with any questions.
