Unless there is a specific reason to do it I know this would not
make much sense... but is there a maximum upper limit to the number of MOS's
that can be active?

Towns and outposts spawn new districts at 100 players...

You'd have to aggro everything in a region and pull them all together
in one area all without losing any of them.... which I'm not sure is
even possible....even if it was you could only pull the number of
creatures that spawned into that area when the region was
"created" for your party.....

I assume breaking up a party to have multiple people all pulling to
the same area is possible.....

just curious....

There is no limit, however all mobs have a certain aggro range. It is possible to pull several mobs together but if you keep moving away from their original spawn they will eventually break off and return.

Your team can break off and pull mobs together but the same rule will apply. When the mobs get too far away from their original spawn they will break off the chase and return.

It actually depends whether the group is a patrol or stationary. If it is stationary, then yes, it works exactly as you say. With patrols though, its a whole different story.

Anyone who's ever pulled charr in pre for death leveling knows this difference: stationary mobs will always run back after a certain distance, no matter what you do. Patrols, on the other hand, if pulled correctly, can be pulled straight across the map, as is seen by the tight-stacking method of charr pulling in pre, where you repeatedly pull a bunch of patrols together to the res shrine and get them stuck there. You can literally pull all non stationary mobs in the entire zone, though it is usually counterproductive to do so since it takes a long time, and the rewards you get out of doing it drop off pretty steeply.

In other words, if you want to get a bunch of things on screen at once, find a zone with lots of patrols, and pull them all together. Probably take you forever though =P

If you really want to see lots of monsters, try abusing Call to Torment or maybe that Ooze division skill with a team of Perma Sins or some "invincible" build or team. I've seen some entertaining screens of glitched Oozes where they multiplied at an alarming rate.

594 or so, which according to wiki is the max number of mobs in all of Lahtenda Bog when vanq'ing.

Not that its actually possible to maintain agro on every patrol in a zone.
