Rainbow phoenix=glitched?

Well i helped a guy level his pet today...he got it to 20 and it didnt evolve...im sure if it happened to us it happened to others but why...is it just a glitch...he has to get a new one... well thats lame...i can show a pic...not great at uploading pics but here goes...anyway...lame...lame...lame....but hey who cares

did you try /namepet again? it 'refreshes' it

When I leveled my RP is also said the same thing, no hearty, dire, or elder. I just renamed the pet and didn't think anymore about it. As you said who cares.

Heres wat we did...he did jundu up to lvl 14 i believe then i lvld it up with the raptors...dunt know if that has anything to do with it...he named it again and it never refreshed it...isnt it supposed to get bigger to at certain levels??

Unevolved pet is the same stats as elder. Worm leveling and other level-while-dead methods tend to get you this.

Pets are not guaranteed to evolve, the wiki can probably explain it better.

You might want to take another one to the isle of the nameless and let it beat up on the master of healing for an hour or so. I've always had good luck with that.

Levelling them with in the Sulfurous Wastes determines an almost guaranteed no evolution, since the pet takes no damage, deals no damage, technically never dies (deaths because of the Sulfurous Haze don't count, nor does "death" upon entering the junundu).

Unevolved pets have the same stats as Elder ones - no damage bonus/penalty, no health bonus/penalty, so they have 480HP and base damage - and as such they don't reach their maximum size when hitting Lv20

If the pet neither gives nor recieves damage from the time of it's taming, to when it should evolve (generally around lvl 11, and then again at 15), then it will NOT evolve at all at that time.

This often happens in worm runs from Remains.. when the pet 'dies' when the player worms up, but still gains XP. I keep telling other players of this problem but most of other players do not believe me about pets not evolving.

That happened with my normal phoenix. I just wurm leveled it. But I didn't care because shortly after I got my rainbow and was more careful on how I leveled it.

This problem only really arises if you want to place your pet in the HOM. As only evolved pets can be placed on your hero/pet monument. Unevolved pets have the same stats as 'Elder' pets.

The Imperial phoenix (the one from the end of factions) has it's own statue on the hero/pet monument. But the rainbow one phoenix (appears in your HoM after attaining "People Know Me", and being alone in a party, only qualifies for the generic animal companion statue.
