Sorry to create another Aurora Glade thread guys, but I really can't figure out the placement of the heroes/henchmen while I run the crystal. Any help would be appreciated.

I would place them closer to the central shrine and spread if possible.

Thank you guys! I finally beat this mission after months of doing it and quitting because I died.

Just to note what I used:

Me (Dervish) - Used "You Move Like A Dwarf!" to pick off runners and Pious Haste to run.

i know you already finished but i thought id put in my 2 cents: i always thought it was best to place the heroes right in front of the north eastern shrine and then run the middle and north east shrine until all the enemies are dead, so you can kill the justic (im assuming you planned on doing bonus, but either way putting em here makes it easy to get the last shrine with time to spare anyways).

If it's NM Aurora glade All you have to do is kill all white mantle in the end and then you can do bonus without rush, for HM it works the same thing but you're risking to be overwhelmed with damage (especially if using heroes), full human team is another story.

EDIT: to run I used Dash + Dwarven Stability

I just did that mission last night for the umteenth time and this is what always works for me. Flag your group in front of the left shrine and defend that one until all the mantle are dead. The mantle will ALWAYS try to tune that one first so all you have to do is keep running crystals to that shine while your H&H group kills them off. A MM will make this mission a cake walk. If you do this with real people, the same strategy will work like a charm. Just defend the LEFT shrine while one person runs crystals to that shrine. As soon as the mantle tunes it, you just tune it back. When they're all dead, kill the Demagogue for the bonus.

This is a guide I wrote for my guild for HM but works in NM too. Guide written with a colleague in team, but can be done solo as well.


[WARNING] : You must heal Less Longbow for bonus or he dies and no bonus. For this I had to take Protective Spirit and Healing Breeze and spam them on him whilst the heroes and guildie came along to kill the 2 white mantle knights.... after a far bit of trying it worked. On the map below, at point 1 there is a path to the right use that and speed boosts to get to him. The healer must target Less and keep him alive...Less is located at X



Once he is alive and you get the bonus... it is then actually easier... from a little tactic worked out. Basically when enter your designated runner - the one who healed ideally as less needed for battle.... CAP shrine A and flag your heroes here to help the other person. When they (the mantle) CAP shrine B get crystal and wait for them to be heading up to shrine A. When close CAP shrine B. If they capped A recap and then go to B and repeat - you MUST CAP B before they get to A. This way they keep going back between A and B until you killed them all. Then go down, kill the Demagogue and then CAP final shrine.

Note: You MUST flag heroes to help the defender or you will fail. Ensure that you know A is yours and let them CAP B and then recap when they on way to A - they need to be close to it or come at you.

Don't forget, if all else fails, there's always the possibility of the Hog Trick.

Just before you cap the final two shrines to enter the final 3-shrine area, check through the "gate" to see if there's a little piggy in range (doesn't happen very often, but every once in a while...). If there is, zap it and [[necrotic traversal] through the gate. Voila - one totally empty area, apart from one very lonely Demagogue.

I wonder why you guys keep wishing to run the crystals with H/H or A team

I have explained this many times and by far the easist way without any glitch ect

Just place 1 crystal only on the shrine on your right as you enter... place your heros or team 3/4 the way down the Hill

Stay there

From here on in you will only get 4/5 small groups coming to you with 1 crystal
in each small group

you can easily wipe the small groups that come .(take out the guy who comes carrying the crystal first in each small group.even more so if you have a M/M
Then you have no groups left...So go kill the Boss .level 16 and can take your time to place the remaining crystals on the last 2 shrines

I just dont know why some guys make it hard on themselves...This has been posted many times under Aurora Gate theads

Your way is certainly the most efficient, Highlander - but for those of us who may not be quite as skilled as others will also find that your way is also dangerous - one missed runner and game over.

I find it's always nice to have a dedicated crystal runner purely as insurance - except for that one time when the runner capped one shrine too many >.<
