Can u download GW if u have cd-key ?

Hello there. I just bought Eye of the North expansion as it was only $9.99 here, so I couldn't resist But I was missing original GW so I bought GW Trilogy on ebay today and will get cd-keys before the guy mails it to me. I was wondering if I can download GW online and then apply my cd-keys instead of waiting around 2 weeks before the game gets to me. He's shipping internationally, plus they got power failures due to winter storm so I'm wishing I can try this game out now intead of waiting for original disks.

You can download the game now and just add the keys when they get to you, but be careful about the keys you got off of ebay, they could have been used already and you would have just lost however much you spent on them.

It would really be no different than purchasing the trilogy through the online store. You'd get the keys in your registered email, download the client, apply, and play.

However, you will not be able to play if you do not have your CDkey

Downloading the game client ahead of time is a good idea. Use the -image command and you can download the whole thing while you sleep and skip the loading delays while playing.

one more question the gw client download is for all expansions ?

The client download will let you access everything that your account has access to. As a start you will only be installing a base client that will then update as you load into a new area.

If you run the game with -image it will update everything in one shot and you will not have to update again until there is a new patch.

The update engine in still some of the best work I have seen in any game.
