There's a cheap version of the Acer Predator G7700 i could buy, just interested in your opinion on it.

Well... the RAM is a bit slow and there is way too much of it. In addition, the 9800GTX isn't top of the line these days (especially when paired with a Q9550). I would highly recommend building your own, or buying something with lower specs and upgrading it.

That PC lacks quite a few features for being so expensive.

^ far better deal if I do say so myself. At least you are getting a Core i7, a better motherboard (presumably), and a FAR better GPU.

In addition, liquid cooling is only for very high end overclocking configurations. That Q9550 couldn't be pushed to those stats on an Acer prebuilt, or any other prebuilt except boutique setups.
