Minor Monitor Annoyance

Hello, I have an LG Flatron W1952TQ 19" Monitor. There is nothing wrong with it at all in fact it is a great monitor. My question is though, is there any way to turn off the sound that it makes when you turn it on or off? Reason Being I usually like to go to bed when my parents are already sleeping, and when I turn off my monitor it makes a loud sound. If anybody could help me with this, it would be greatly appreciated.

i don't know why it would be making a sound, but the simpliest solution is to not turn it off.
