New hero command: Don't move.
Empress Amarox
I'm gonna keep this pretty straight to the point...
Heroes kite like chickens with their heads cut off, most of the times to a player's dismay. So, it'd be nice to have a command to make them stop running around like idiots and stay put.

Good idea. Not only do they kite like headless chickens, they also go crazy in any kind of AOE (like the low dmg Ignite Arrows from Charr Seekers for example). Making them stand still would be nice ...
assassin shaun
this is a great idea, wouldn't help with henchies but heroes not kiting would be great.

Oh man, tell me about it. If you have ever played Hero Battles it always happens. I'll flag my hero then it will run to the other side of the map to remove bleeding from a teammate..which, ofcourse, looses me the game.
As for kiting out of AoE, I think its kinda nice. How anoying would it be if you always had to watch where your heros were positioned and have to flag them from side to side of the map non-stop.

Great idea, and for AoE dmg, they should just move outside and then stay put. Its annoying during AoE dmg, most of the time they just kite like hell and then run into an un-aggroed mob, or just stop casting just to run around lol.
mrbilzor
It'd be nice for when my Eles set up wards, then proceed to run out of them in order to run away from mobs. Seriously. Stay put, that's why I flagged you inside the ward.

This already exists I though. It's called using the singular flag. At least my hero doesn't move when flagged. Only issue is when they then get hit by AoE (I mean constant AoE that they should then move out of, not single hit AoE) - I need to flag for them to move.
Or am I missing the point here?

they still kite shitloads when flagged alone, and yea there are times when you just want them to stay put
so /signed , real good idea for once

Just H/H'ed my way through Slaver's and it's a pain flagging them in a ward and instead they go runnning around out of it's bondries aggroing everything in sight. This applys pretty much everywhere, if I flag them in one place it's because I want them to stay there, not run around like I didn't.

HB is a joke and would stay a joke, but at least it could improve general play a little.

xandra likes to use castration signet on people who are the other side of the map far too much for my liking.

Just because they're flagged doesn't mean they won't run retarded amounts away from the flag. I've seen Dunkoro run at least an entire aggro bubble away from his flag to try and heal me when I flag him and a MM to defend a side of the Dzagonur Bastion mission.
Since I refuse to do HB, I probably don't fully understand why it's necessary, but I can certainly understand why people would want this. I'll give it the /sign.

They also like to go remove conditions when I'm miles away.
And while u are at it add a spread formation button. Nothing like canceling the flags and see a nice ball tight ball of heroes arriving and dying to energy surge.

this already exists..its called using human players.
i like the idea. when it comes to issues with hereos this is a main one.

id also like to see hereos stop runing in to targets if they're on attack but flagged back.

Let's see the list of typical orders in online games:
Currently the 'orders' just tell them when to attack and when not.
We miss the movement range orders.
There could be a slider or combo box to lock how far they can move:
* Do not move
* Adjacent
* Nearby
* In the Area
* Within earshot.
* Move freely.
Another possible way to set the distance would be to click a flag, click on the floor, and instead of releasing the mouse, drag to define a radius of the circle within which the HH can move. While you drag, a circle appears in the ground, the farther you drag the ouse from the place you clicked, the bigger the radius and the wider the circle. Release the mouse once the cirlce is big enough and your HH will move ONLY inside that circle. Just click without dragging, and no circle will be set, and the hero will not move from the spot.

Yeah /signed Nothing is more frustrating than losing a shrine because the heroes you flagged onto it are halfway across the map instead of where they should be.

That would be such a nice thing to have.
