I've already been to Kaineng Center, and explored around a bit, but how do I get to the monastery from there? Help is much appreciated

Actually, don't you have to go to "The Marketplace" then out onto the docks there and talk to First Mate Xiang?

(I only ask because that's what we did last night with a Guildie - didn't realise we'd done it wrong )

You have to get to The Marketplace and go the the docks to talk to the Firstmate standing right in front of the dock. He will give you passage to the Island. The Marketplace is south of KC along the coast.

May I add - First Mate Xiang will only bring you to Seitung Harbor. You have to run from there to SJ Monastery proper via the Saoshang Trail. The Trail will take you to Linnok, which leads to the monastery.
