New Year Disappointment

Another New Year in Guild Wars. I worked for two days doing quests on all 3 of my accounts with many, many, many characters. The same old quests we've done year after year. I ended up with 711 lunar fortunes and did not get even one Ox. I am so disapointed.

Three accounts, about 40 character slots, and not even one Ox.

I've been playing for over 3 years. I have not played much in the last few months. Lately, I've been very bored with the game but thought I would give the New Year Celebration a try. Not even One Ox.

Well, I did do one thing recently to relieve the boredom. I've been playing World of Warcraft. So many Quests, I can't imagine doing them all. An Auction House. Characters can go to level 80. I can't say it's better than GW but it does have more content. The look of GW is more realistic and WOW a bit more cartoon like. Sick as it sounds I actually enjoy vertual fishing. Not even one Ox!

OK, I've had my say and feel much better. You can close this if you think it's too flaming. But this is my forum to tell let Anet know how I feel and what I think. This is the only voice I have. Not even one OX!

I guess this only means that it will not be a good year for you, since the Ox itself is avoiding you. Stay at home for your own safety.

I got an Ox on the third Fortune I opened. And then another within the first 50 fortunes I opened.

Random drops are random.

Though it sucks that you didnt get one after working so hard for it.

You should be able to get an ox at the final event, right?

I've opened around 600 fortunes myself after doing all the quests over different characters. No Ox here either but I wasn't too disappointed. It was just a random drop and I just lucked out.

You only have the right to be angry if its dealing with something on the level of mini polar bear.

I got a mini cel ox on like my 16th...but its like 20k tops and dropping by the minute? Big whoop.

If you opened up 711 fortunes and didn't get an Ox, you obviously got a hell of a lot of party points instead. Sell those and buy an Ox with the money. What's the big deal here?

Last year I got 7 Celestial Rats. This year I got 1 Celestial Ox (458 fortunes). Them's the breaks.

I'm in the same boat. Running character after character through the 6 quests, I was going to get fortunes until I got an ox, then switch to red gift bags. Mounting frustration as no ox popped up. All 16 characters accounted for now, little over 800 fortunes opened and still no ox. Looks like this'll be the first Canthan New Year where I'll have to buy my mini.

This is simply bad luck.
