As the end of the Canthan New Year is fast approaching, I got curious. What did the other people here at Guru do this weekend?
Personally, I didn't do much on Friday or Saturday, but today I went on a Canthan New Year drive. I did all of the Canthan New Year quests on each of my 5 PvE characters to earn Lunar Tokens in hopes of getting a Celestial Ox. It seems I was rather lucky, as I ended up getting 5 of them from my many Lunar Fortunes.
So what did YOU do?
(I bet that at least half of the people here will say they AFK'ed Nine Rings, but...)

Being in Australia, wished they'd held it last week, so I could get the Australia Day public holiday rather than being at work hoping my home internet didn't fail half an hour ago.
More seriously... completed all the festival quests, some with recently-tamed pets in tow, then farmed some items for the events I WAS able to be active for.

I did all 5 quests on 20 characters....got enough party points to finish up my party title on my monk...and enough extra to get another almost to level 1. Monk made it to people know me and capped a new birdie in his HoM.

AFK in nine rings mostly. I did however get a few tokens and bought fortunes. I got 4 oxes, sold 3 and kept 1.

Crafted ~500 bottle rockets from wood/dust I'd been saving up all year... AFK'd in ring of nine all event on one account while I /rock/paper/scissor'd through my lunar tokens on another.

got fortunes, first one I got an Ox! i was so pumped
so after that I didn't need a reason to keep doing stuff.

overall a very well spent festival, I love the new Year

Logged in on Sunday. Did all quests on my 6 PvE chars. Bought a few lunar fortunes, got an ox on my 10th fortune. Sold the rest of the fortunes and tokens making a mere 80k. Went afk for free gifts in Shing Jea. Event sorted.

I did that, but I missed the 200g thing, so sold 11 stacks for 160g every 10 - went from 83k to 136k+, a good 50k profit from dust alone. Also made cash from getting an extra 3 stacks from 9rings (yes, I gained money from 9rings, not lost).

I did all the quests on all of my 7 characters, then I spent the rest of the time (and at this very moment still am) AFKing on nine rings for my lucky title. Seems to be working rather well to - I figure I only need about 20 more holiday events with the board walk to max it.

well hmm lets see, i worked all weekend, and when i came home, i went to a club with friends...managed to go to the VIP part because i talked to a random girl there...and it happened that it was her birthday and she invited me and my friend to the VIP part...today i worked again, after coming home i watched the Superbowl a bit. saw the nice touchdown of Brian something..then called my friends and went to the movies..watch that movie where the daughter of a special agent dude gets kidnapped.Now im on guru typing this message..didn't have much time to accord to guildwars.

Friday, went hunting for ingredients. Saturday evening, fought lag as I did a few of the quests. Got Ox on Fortune 49. Saw announcement by a guild of District they were sponsoring, went there, donated my ingredients to them, afk'd that district for 3 rounds of feast. Added 3k to Lucky, 1k to unlucky on the 16 rings. Made new friends chatting away the time while playing the 16 rings. Gave 5 crates fireworks to each of the sponsor guilds as thank you for sponsoring. Lagged out with serious spike 108,654 ms. Figured 18 hours logged on was enough.
Almost forgot, gave last 5 Lunar Fortunes away. Got a thank you back as one of them was an Ox.

got another ~750 party pts from fortunes and buying for cheap
joined one of the alliances hosting districts...realized they're lux...and im going for my kurz title once i get to 29 titles
All in all it was pretty good, my only regret is not completely finishing my eotn vanquish run. New track season starts Mon., and ill be busy, so this was a decent way to go out.

Did all the quests with as many characters as I could, got lots of lunar fortunes. Opened a bunch and got lots of fireworks and spiritual possession, which made me laugh hysterically at some of the comments. Went afk on 9 rings while I slept, then spent Saturday doing more quests with more characters. Finally got an ox, and put the rest into gift bags to work on the party animal titles and such. Our guild hosted a district, so I ran around every 3 hours or so like a madwoman handing out stuff to the chefs. Went to church, slept some while other guildies took over the afternoon sessions, now I'm about to do the second to last feast before afking for the night while another guildy finishes up the last feast. I'm worn out, but I had a lot of fun.

Did the quests on all our chars, got my mini ox, sold the rest of the tokens, maxxed my Treasure Hunter and Lucky titles and got GWaMM, hosted two shows. My wrists and forearms are going to kill me tomorrow morning for being on the computer too much. But it was fun!

Ive been AFKing 9 Rings since the first hour of the festival.. I filled my inventory with stacks of tickets (spent over 200k on them). But i check my computer every 8 hours or so. The way things are going ill go from rank 0 Lucky to Rank 3 before monday at noon.

I did like...two quests before getting bored. Played in Dragon Arena for a few rounds, did nine rings for a little bit...I'll probably hop back on later for the last finale but that's it.
