I know that Elementalists suffer from a serious lack in power when it comes to Hard Mode do to the fact that all but a few of their skills deal elemental damage. Considering that most Channeling Magic spells dish out Lightning damage, I was curious as to if Channeling Ritualists suffer a loss along with Elementalists. I realize there are some skills that are still devastating, such as Splinter Weapon, however from a general Channeling Magic damage dealer standpoint, how do they fare?

Ancestor's Rage, Splinter Weapon are still very strong. Destruction and Destructive Was Glaive can do a huge amount of damage but are a bit risky in forcing you to get involved in skirmish. Other than that, Essence Strike and Offering of Spirit are still solid energy management.

I would use [splinter weapon] along with something like [volley] or [barrage]. Using SW, you can pump out massive armor-ignoring AoE damage and maintain backline safety.

I usually use the channeling stuff that blows things up big time on a necro. Ancestor's, splinter and spirit rift are usually enough to blow things to kingdom come. On the rest of the bar I can stick stuff such as foul feast and enchant removal.

Ele damage spells in general blow in HM. Rit channel damage spells are even worse in HM. Less damage, no penetration unless you use Glaive, less energy than eles just make damage rits absolutely terrible in HM.

HOWEVER not all is lost. Ancestor's Fury is awesome and so is Splinter Weapon. Very useful in HM. Channeling also comes with OoS which is one of the best emanagement Rits can have. Bloodsong is also useful if you need a spirit.
