Starting at Noon Pacific this Friday, you will earn double faction for participating in Alliance Battles. This bonus will last through 11:59 PM Pacific on Sunday.

Cool, a guild mate and I were just talking about when the next AB weekend would happen; sooner than we thought. 
On a side note, the 'real' PvPers will probably complain that we just had a PvE weekend and Alliance Battles are not real PvP.

AB faction is still meh, compared to the VQ or JQ. It needs to be higher. Even double weekend will not change that thing. But it depends, specially on the map.

Seriously though, AB weekeneds are my favorite, after I take care of all my stuff on saterday I sit down a play whatever the hell build I want. Then when the guilds log on we get super serial, and own.

At x2 will it earn faction faster than vanquishing though? I've not mastered a decent Morostav route yet, but I can earn about 27.5k/hour vanquishing Drazak Thicket. The benefits of vanquishing are not having to wait in between times and no reduction in the faction/hour rate due to not winning. No Balth is a downside though.
