Drop Rate Question

Has anyone else experienced a drastic drop in the amount of loot dropping when the CNY update went live?

Please don't post to say "just your luck", or some such. This is serious question.

Before update, while doing quests, missions, farming, drops were fine. After the update and since, killing every Margoyle, Bog Skale, in Scoundrel's Rise, with me and 1 hero, nets 1 item and 10 gold. Zone to North Kryta Province, clear the swamp, the beach, and the Ettins around the Ascalon Settlement, get 2 items and 19 gold.

Before the update, I would HM farm Nebo Terrace and part of North Kryta Province, in essence, the loop from Hot Springs to Seaboard. Before update, I was having to leave drops or salvage half way through. When done with the run "cash in" would be 8k-10k normal range. Since the update, 3 runs barely fills the backpack, and 5k or less in the "cash in".

This started Friday and continues today.

Did my computer miss a file when getting the update?

mmm. not really. I like to think that I get same drop rate as before. Sometimes is more, sometimes is less

Havent seen any differences since the update.. I've been mostly farming in the NF desert with worms.

if you farm to much that happens..happens to me all the time when i solo farm to much..what i do to get rid of it is zelite ra ta or do some missions and i go back to farming and my drops are better then when i started may want to try that

I can log on to any of 3 of my accounts and have the bad drops. I am not over farming an area. 2 runs a week was more than enough to cover my "expenses". Now 1 run might cover the cost of a lockpick.

Appart from having half the npc's in the world bugged, I haven't noticed anything different since the CNY, drop rates or not.

I haven't noticed a thing. Even areas where I "overfarm" are still giving me a pretty good bit of cash.

It might be the way you farm. The faster the farm the less loot you get.
