put the search into party search

i think a search option should be in the party search menu just to speed up the searching process.

i would like it if when you type in stuff like WTS black dye it would search for black dyes and possably norrow it down further by only showing the WTB's and filtering the WTS's because your already selling

I'm still all for the idea of having a general trading area (Sort of like Buy/Sell/High-End on Guru) but in-game.

I think some type of filter or search would be a good idea. Will it ever happen? No.... I would prefer an ingame auction house, but that will never happen either.

im guessing youd put something like WTS inscriptions. WTB tomes


But what if ur WTS is long and the party search cuts off the WTB part because of it.

Problem with a search or filter for trade chat is people's ability to spell. If you want to buy a Voltaic Spear, and someone else wants to sell one, it would work for you. But only if you both spell the item the same way.

Typos and mispellings are only part of the issue. Abbreviations would also cause problems. Don't see it happening just because of the major time constraints it would cause to produce an effective method of doing it.

Maybe they could add a spell check as well. lol

I think there are many things that could be done to improve the ability to buy/sell things within the game. Numerous good ideas have been proposed over the years. At the very least I think a simple sort option in the PS for "WTB" and "WTS" would be extremely useful. Or even a 'buy' and 'sell' section so you don't have to waste four spaces of valuable (to be read 'insufficient') Description space.

or they could just split the "trade" into wtb and wts

I don't know. Say I do want to buy a black dye. How many people are selling in the Party Search at a given time? 50-80? How many are selling that black dye at the same time? 0-1? Sounds a lot of coding to do for something you can just do yourself by quickly scanning the Party Search.

It would only be relevant if the Party Search was game-wide to begin with.

I am for anything that improves the trade system. Really have guys tried to buy mods for weapons lately, improve the trade system.

Maybe after the finish the storage upgrade trade improvements can be the next big project.

Such thing would need a way to set common terms regardless of language.
Something like Phantasy Star Online's phrase maker.

Otherwise people writting wrong or using different languages would make things a bit up.
