The title says it, should add new music?

Music like this? I remember fighting in that music and it made me get an adrenaline rush.

The Guild Wars music seems over used. The region always have the same music. Kryta, Shiverpeaks, etc. Which are all huge places and takes a while to explore. Boss battles, especially dungeons bosses seems un-epic. When I fought Kanaxai I nearly feel asleep.

When I got to hall of heroes, it was the least epic thing ever being a challenging latter.

The best place that had music was Saul D bonus mission. Those hordes of charr was cool, but when the bosses came, I never knew they were there.

Don't get me wrong, the current music is a master piece. It seems over used or not used at all.

i would rather see media player integration so the game would have a music folder that you could drop music into and the game would play it.

It's called DirectSong.

Atm, i bought all directsong soundtracks, i have music from collectors versions. I also added music from other Soule's projects (Oblivion, morrowind, dungeon siege... and many many moar). Atm i just can't say that i am suffering from not having variety of music here. But, considering fact, that Soule is my favo composer, i would like moar music.

Guild Wars music: three campaigns, the EoTN expansion, the Sorrow's Furnace mini pack, and the Guild Wars Battle pack. We don't need any more.

Anyways I rather Jeremy Soule work on the music on GW2, if he is doing it that is.

I do find the music gets a bit stale. I now play my own music in the background. I might not do that anymore if new music came into the game. That said though, the funds to pay new composers really could go to something better. I'd like new music, but there's really nothing wrong with just running winamp in the background.

really did the music well in that game.

Anyway No why add more music when it takes little effort for the user to decide what tracks he/she can play in the background. It'll cost Anet more cash and its not needed.

So although i would like to see some new music in gw it dnt take much for me to build a playlist.

Instead of adding new music, I wish they'd give the option of playing more of the songs that are actually available instead of the same ones, over and over and over again.

I have Directsong and it mixes up the music a little bit more but still seems to randomly choose from the same 6 songs instead of from the pool of dozens that are available, many of which I've never heard in game in almost 4 years of playing. Consequently, I have music disabled and just que up a music in WMP if I want to listen to something.

No. In short:

1) you can always play the music you like, either the way the OP said, or you can also tweak the directsong features;

2) it's entirely part of the game, Jeremy Soule did a brilliant job at creating an ambiance that matches the gaming world. You can dislike it, but I don't think it should be changed.

I would rather see a GW jukebox so that I could choose whatever music from all of GW to play whenever I want, or to just have to scroll through randomly.

Until that happens, outside media players will be superior.

I would defedently love good, new music. some of the best games i've played are made by the music, and I was a little disapointed in gw's music. would love some good stuff

that seems like the best idea for the new music though

I have all Directsong upgrades, and the only time I don't see the Directsong icon active it's during some festivals and events.

So far, the only music upgrade I miss it's the "Festial Pak One". It should have festive themes like the version of "Carol of the Bells" we can listen to in Wintersday.

The music in GW is fine as it is imo.
I have no problem with slow/boring music. Get your action from the game.
