missing arrow/star direction finder

Ok I am now in Kryta but since I landed in Lion's Arch there have not been any green arrow pointers on the mini map or stars, as to which direction to take, is this normal or is it a glitch, cos whichever one it is it's annoying as I am now wasting so much time going all over the place instead of direct to where I want to go.

Also you get a bonus to drop some sort of gift thing off at a statue of meandru just outside hakemoor well I'm blowed if I could find it, it was supposed to be near a ruined farmhouse through the gate on the way to the temple of tolerance....or did I go in completely the wrong direction...AGAIN!!!

Look for the NPC 'Armen the guide' in Lions arch, who is just opposite the skill trainer. The quest is 'Report To The White Mantle' which will take you to the D'Alessio Seaboard.

Missions don't have arrow pointers or location stars. Only quests use those symbols. You can pick up quests by talking to NPCs.
