I hope someone can help an old player that has been gone for a long time

I played GW from day 1, after the first expansion there were things that just drove me crazy about the game. Needless to say I quit.

Now I am thinking about returning. I did some looking around and fond people saying they were soling UW, not to sure about the others. Anyway one of the reasons I quit was all of the farming builds were being nerfed continually, like every week.

Can you solo dungeons now? Has the single player game been given anything or is it still PVP and to heck with everything else?

I looked and I have my old computer that the game is installed on but I can not find my login information I wrote down in I think 2005 LOL
Is my log in stored on the old system. If I can get it can I install on my new system and give it a try again.

You can download and install GW on any computer and login with your email account name and password. All account info is stored on ArenaNet's servers.

If you don't know your email account and/or password, you will need to contact support which is PlayNC.com

Be prepared to supply them with proofs of purchase, so they can be sure you didn't steal the account. They can reset the password for you.

etrin, the best explaination on farming I can give you: 600/smite is the new 55. ;p

We still have to worry about skill nerfs and things, however they now have PvP skills and PvE skills. Example: Skill A does one thing in PvP but does something slightly/completely different in PvE. So, most of the skill nerfs that happened "back in the day" were almost all to do with crazy-powerful crap in PvP but since there wasn't a separation of the environments, both sides got the same nerf. Now it's a little different. Sometimes the skill is nerfed in only PvP and sometimes it's both.

Lately the big solo deal is with an assassin, perma-sin, with Shadow Form.

Nothing else has really changed all that much.

Oh oh! But we have PvE only skills as well. Some of those are crazy good fun. ;p
