i run ogden...
10 prot - 10 div - 11+2 healing . energy 46 ....
spells woh/dywanas kiss/sig rejuv /etheral light/
dismiss condition / cure hex / aegis / prot spirit..
question
i just bought nightfall and have a spare ele....
he is level 11 56energy no upgrades..
could i use that ele as an ele/monk
i figured i could get 12healing - 10 prot - 9 or 10 energy -
now i dont use divine favour spells at all, so would
the 0 div make a difference....
ive use that set up across proph/eon/fact/
could i use the ele to replace ogden..
i would gain around 45 energy but loose
the+2 on healing is it a fair trade?
actualy i could just drop 1 energy atribute to raise
healing to 12 and still have over 80 enegy
worth the change?

For each rank of Divine Favor, allies are healed for 3.2 whenever you cast Monk spells on them. Several Monk skills, especially spells related to Energy gain and healing, become more effective with higher Divine Favor.

Your healer does better if their spells actually heal for more than if they have more energy
snaek
yes it does make a difference
u -could- if u really wanted to but it wouldnt be all that great is there a particular reason u want to? playing a healer with h/h is known to be very boring to many astro reaping
so question remains
if i switched from ogden to my spare ele as an ele/monk with no div but over 80 energy , good or bad.... i removed all ogdens div points but the healing output on the spells remained the same aka odgens woh was 113 +89 its still the same with or without div points so would it hurt me if i switched over to an ele/monk.... also is it worth using a staff and dropping 1 of the 20% in place of Energy +5 (while Health is above 50%) say like staff of the forgotten... me and my wife party all the time 6 heros + the 2 of us were both ranger just curious if its better using a plain monk like ogden or a ele/monk for more energy as we only use prot/heal MisterB

9. Do Not Abuse the English LanguageQuote: This is a message board, not a chat room. DO NOT use "Leet-Speak", slang or chat lingo our forums. Avoid Colloquial writing. This can best be described as "writing in the way that one would speak." It is an informal, slang style of English that should be reserved primarily for speech, as it can seem unprofessional and sloppy in written text. A casual tone can be interpreted positively in person with face-to-face contact, but can be perceived negatively in writing. As such, you have all the time necessary to articulate your posts in a coherent matter. "You" is only two more letters than "u." It will not kill you to type them. Completely illegible posts are subject to moderation - and I can not guarantee their accuracy of 'translating' the author’s original message. Additionally, when one punctuation works instead of 10 (example: ? instead of ?!?!), use one. The answer remains the same. Monks with Divine Favor heal better than Elementalists with more energy. Unless you're running [[Ether Renewal (PvE)], but heroes are terrible at that. It's not clear whether you are asking about a spare hero or a spare character. If you want to play E/Mo with [[Ether Renewal (PvE)] yourself, have a look at these 2 threads: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10353242 http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10317939 grim_Teh_Derv

Use a plain monk like ogden, the divine favour really adds up, and if you're burning through 80+ energy on a hero in one mob, something's wrong.

Either Mo for extra heals from DF (Your E/Mo will need to heal more, therefore probabaly using more energy in the end that your Mo/X)
Or N/Rt to abuse soul reaping (gaining energy during the combat is preferable over having a larger energy pool, /Rt's also give better healing than /Mo's. but a Mo/x gives better healing than a Rt/x |
