Ok, I'm taking my monk through NF. I just reached Gates of Desolation, and I remember "I can get a book for missions". I got to Sunspear Great Hall and pick up a book, and get the pages filled (9 of them). Then I read wiki quick, and I must of read it wrong, that I need to get a book from the Whisper in Chantry of Secrets. So I deleted the book from Sunspear Great Hall and go to Chantry of Secrets. I pick up a book from him, and he doesn't seem to fill in my pages?
I just reread wiki and it says you need to TURN IT INTO the person of the aligning faction to get the rep points -.-.
I don't see why he won't fill out my pages, I already did the missions.

Maybe the first time you paid for the pages it simply removed the status "done" of these missions? Thus when trying to buy them again, you couldn't. By deleting your first book you'd have lost these missions and have to redo them.

This is exactly what happened. Sorry for your loss.

Watch your LB/SS points as well. If they go to high you can't turn in the book. Happened to me without realizing it.

It doesn't matter where you get the book. It's the same book whether you get it in the Great Hall or the Chantry of Secrets. The only thing that matters is which NPC you return it to, since the NPC in the Great Hall gives SS points and the one in Chantry gives LB points.. So you could take a book acquired in the Great Hall and turn it in at Chantry.
The same holds true for the other books. It doesn't matter which NPC, Luxon or Kurzick, gives you Shiro's Return or which NPC gives you the Hero's Handbook. It only makes a difference which NPC you use when you turn it in.

I know, I figured that out once I deleted the book

Okay, so now I want to work toward Spearmarshall (SS lvl 9). Where can I go to find an active bounty, or which repeatable quests/missions are worth the time in their SS point rewards

Your best bet is to vanquish in Kourna or Istan. Pick an area and plan your route carefully to hit the shrines with the necessary bounties before you've killed all the foes of that type. All of those areas give bonus SS points (beyond the points from the bounties) for completing the vanquish. See the point table on the wiki. Also refer to the article on Sunspear Point Farming.
If you want to farm LB at the same time, your best bet is still the SS/LB farm out of Remains of Sahlahja. You will need the quests "Requiem for a Brain" and "A Show of Force". If you've completed those quests yourself, then you will have to join a party that has them active.
Alternately, you can simply vanquish areas in Vabbi and the Desolation. Both give LB points for completed vanquishes, but there are SS bounties available at most of the shrines and plenty of foes to kill that give SS points.
Good luck!

Thanks for the heads up. I can now stop searching (fruitlessly) for SS bounties, and get to work on LB.
