BBCode for GW weapons

I run a forum for our Guild and we have GWBBcode installed for sharing builds with each other but I'm wondering if anyone knows of a project that allows a weapon BBcode to be used?

I've seen similar codes for *looks around and whispers* WoW items and characters and I think it's asking too much for a character function for GW but perhaps a database/lookup wouldn't be too difficult.

Initially it would be easier to build for Greens I guess - their stats don't change readily and info could be culled from Wiki. For other types though you have inscriptions and other modifiers to cope with - but it might be possible to build a string of characters that would identify mods and allow a composite 'image' to be built. The resulting data would then appear in a 'tooltip' floater with either a picture of the weapon (for a Green) or a generic picture of the skin for others.

Or am I being too fanciful?

It would take some work, but it could be done. Five sets of five charectors each should allow enough descriptors to handle almost every possible base weapon, ability, primary mod, secondary mod and inscription. OK, make that six sets, I forgot skin, maybe a two charector prefix. Sorry, I design data bases to assist auditing trouble-shooting.

Lol - I guessed the 'how to' from my bit of programming in a past life (but learning PHP and so on scares the what's'name out of me) - I know some have the sort of system I envisage but I don't know whether they have it as a custom project for their auctions or whether they would consider allowing it's use by the community on Guild Forums.

Someone somewhere is going to have to do a lot of data munging...
