Hi,
this is my first time on this site, the forums look great, so it looked like a promising site to ask the question i would like to ask.
Ofcourse, i am a GW user, i have been playing off and on for quite sometime. Today i wanted to play it, but i had to reinstall it. So i reinstalled it, this has happend a couple times in the past on other computers, where when i go in a portal(including first entry of game), the loading screen takes a long time. now i have played on this computer before and it worked perfectly well, fast loading screens, but now, its taking awhile. before was on a seperate time(maybe half a year or year).
now i saw somewhere on this site before that i should create a shortcut from my GW.exe to desktop and change the parameter to -image or something like that, that thread did not specify on how to do that. So if someone could explain how to do it, or tell me of an easier way, it would be very help full.
Thank You

Right click the shortcut, and select the properties option.
Then where it says "Target", it should have a pathfile similar to;
"C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe"
change it to
"C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" -image
(don't forget the space)
and run the program like normal.
This will cause it to download everything, and close when it's done. If you wish to play guild wars like usual, you will have to remove the " -image" from the pathfile and boot it up again. Keep in mind that you can't do this while playing, you have to have your guild wars client closed.
