After April updates
warrior running
As we all know April holds many new updates like HoM accountwide and extra storage...now here's my question, will tormented weapons drop in price or raise?
Mister_Smiley
nope, i see the prices staying the same. Seeing that there are stuff that is unknown being added into it i can't really say. But if anything they might drop in price.

It seems likely that they will not be implementing any more weapon sets into the monument, and in this case the price will most certainly rise rather than fall.
Demand is bound to increase and unless people suddenly go DoA mad and the supply rockets then the price should rise.
However as you can already put them into the HoM this may limit demand increases by a varying degree. This may limit price rises.
Also the gws economy hardly works predictably, so who knows ;P

What kinda thread is this, and if theyre was a direct answer i think everyone would be using this to their market advantage - i assume this is why your asking everyone?...

I see it as a general discussion to ascertain people's views on an up coming change to the game, so to some people...interesting.

Unless they add a 2nd rack in the HoM so I can display both destroyer AND tormented weapons, I certainly won't be buying any and prices should remain the same, given you can add tormented weapons already.
Carboplatin
prices for tormented will continue to fall. DoA is easy to do if you know how, HM or NM.
Skyy High
You can already add Tormented weapons to the Hall. I fail to see how making the Hall account-based will suddenly change prices for the weapons one way or the other.

I agree with this:
there's alot more armbraces out there than you want to know about. the update won't change the price of arms just cause now you can dedicate the items on different characters. buyers are always trying to buy em cheaper (ie 45e) and sellers are always trying to get the best price they can (ie 50e). If demand drops, then farming drops. if demand increases, then farming increases. the price will generally stay the same, but slowly depreciate along with everything else except limited ed. items.

I'd honestly prefer if they make items like the dryad bow or draconic aegis more common than worry about tormented weapons.

meh, I couldn't care less. I've already purchased the whole set so I don't have to worry about prices. Did the same for armor sets and (most) "rare" minipets. I couldn't care less what happens to prices. If they go down... super, if they go up, I already have them so I couldn't care less.
Sir Skullcrasher
Increase drop-rate on all rare weapons would certainly decrease the price!
I don't know if the updates will have any effects on tormented weapon's price.

Drop. How many people do you think have a broken or distorted view of the economy and have been hoarding armbraces?
Konig Des Todes
The demand boost for Tormented occurred during October - as that is when the weapons were addable. Making it account based would reduce, if even change, the demand. Therefore, the price will fall unless the supply suddenly plummits.
Dr.Jones
what is being added? i dont think any change will happen to make torment weps to go up in price.
fenix
There is nothing that they could/would add that would affect Tormented weapon prices, as you can already add them in HoM and this didn't change the price of Armbraces. If they make it so you can display Torment AND Destroyer, the prices may go up slightly for a few days, but it's highly unlikely that they'll do that in the update.
