Hey.
Well my computer decided it didnt want to start anymore and found out from my local computer store that the motherboard and psu basically died, so now im in the market again.
This is my set up atm.
Case : Thermaltake armour+
CPU : E8400
RAM : 2 x 1GB Crucial Ballistix Tracer Ram
GPU : HD4850
So any opinons on either the PSU or motherboard would be good.
Budget : Around $300
Thanks

I've read some stories about Ballistix Tracers dieing, even without overclocking. (in some cases, putting them in the freezer (in antistatic bag) actually worked!)
I'd try to test all your hardware thoroughly in another computer before buying new hardware.
Ofcourse they could be right.
If they are, you shouldn't spend too much money on a mainboard, since the new sockets are here already. P35 chipset is still good and cheap these days.
And an A brand ~600 watt psu is sufficient for computers of these days.

well they put in a different power supply and motherboard and it worked fine...and they have been very good in the past..never had a problem with them.

Ok, we can work with around a 300 AUD budget for those two components.
