My brother and his friend use to play GW, but stopped a while back. They both are going to give me all their stuff. I don't want to get banned if Anet thinks we are gold buyer/sellers, so what's the best way to obtain their stuff without getting in trouble?

Thanks

All they need to do is let them logout each of their account and yours as well in different PC's to trade you the items that they have or don't need but take note that "customized" armor and weapons though trade-able can't be used or worn by another character it was not customized for, you won't have any trouble with a.net as long as the accounts that your brother and his friend is really their account. ^_^ welcome to GW if your new to the game

when doing alot of items at once, just shove about 10 gold in or a crappy white weapon your picked up off the ground, so that way your other account never looks like its giving stuff away.

Ofc i didnt do any of this when getting stuff A to B...but i didnt really trade anything over that had any worth.

This whole "ban because of trading" thing has been blown all out of proportion. People regularly buy expensive items from others that cost 100k + xxectos, without being banned. I wouldn't worry about it, unless one of you has bought gold in the past and has a "record".

A lot of the rumors you hear are from people who actually got banned while trying to buy gold, but they won't admit it, so they claim innocence.

My guildmate and I trade stuff back and forth all the time, including large amounts of gold. We just use the guild hall when we do it. Never has been a problem in over 3 years.

I give plenty of money out to friends. (And large portions), nothing bad has happened to me. Don't worry about it.

My daughter has a separate account and I give her all sorts of stuff including voltaic spears and everlasting tonics. Don't worry about it.

Same here, except it's my son. I give him tons of stuff but the key word here is 'stuff' and not money. I think A-net only gets suspicious when someone gives you a boatload of money (and I mean A LOT) and you give nothing back. That's pretty darned suspicious, otherwise I wouldn't worry about it.

I don't understand gold buyers, anyway. Half the fun of the game is getting stuff for yourself. At least, I think so.

I wouldn't specifically say "fun" for things like money, but rewarding none the less

I too have 2 accounts and trade stuff back and forth. I would suggest that when you start to trade stuff. trade EVERYTHING. Just giver!! So whites purples golds..plat whatever.

I traded 50 Black dye in pre and runes and my destroyer mini (its gold) and rurik and elf and stuff to my Elite "storage" guy. I am sure that turned heads cause that is 350,000 gold in pre!

i am pleased to tell you.. I am still playing both accounts. Anet does NOT want to band "Players". Their goal is to prevent abuses so that my neighbor can not just go online and buy 50 black dye for 150 bucks and be like me in wealth without playing a minute.

I would not be happy if someone with 3 hours of playing time gets 500,000 gold in pre and I have been there for 2000 hours following the rules. I would want to strangle someone and I would start with Anet.

I just gave my wife a crystalline sword, max zodiac daggers, 50 ecto and 100k.

You will not get banned for giving stuff to people.
