Play the game. Unlike many online RPGs, getting to max level in Guild Wars is easy, and designed to occur WELL before the end of the game. If you simply want to get to level 20 in the game, then make a new character. If you want to enjoy the full game, then use that level 20 character to play.

Life BEGINS at level 20. You have an entire world to discover now.

Level 20 = easy
Max Gear = easy

Go learn all of your class skills and explore the world, learn other class skills, explore more, get prettier armor and gear, learn to PVP, work on titles... tons of stuff to keep you busy.

Which campaign did you get to Lvl.20 on? If you used abit of each campaign to level to 20 then fair enough, read and do as every other person said above my post, but if you did it on Factions, then i can understand your question...

Improving your skillbar and playing ability aswell. If you're new and W/R, I'd bet you've got a lot of useless junk cluttering your bar.

Have fun... the game has tons for you to do... and don't let the majority of the online GW community get you down. There are still some nice people around that will help you achieve what you want.

That said, Island Guardian has it right... only took me 3 years to get half that stuff.

If you just hit level 20, depending on which campaign you're playing, you're still early days in the game. Guild Wars is a game that's based on story, not grinding.

Go do quests, do missions, craft armor, have fun. You get to the good stuff in the game once you're leveled up.

Attaining level 20 in GW means your character has now finished basic education and is ready to learn the hard stuff.

Try getting some elite skills for your bar, do storyline quests/missions, get more heroes for flexibility in quests/missions, the list goes on

as others have already said reaching level 20 is not the end but rather the begining. now you can really start enjoying the game for what it is. first of all I recommend you complete all the campaigns that you own. after that it's really up to you:
- enter hardmode and do it all over again just with more difficulty, sort of like Nightmare and Hell in Diablo 2 just that you dont really start from scratch but have can move around freely.
- farm various places to get expensive weapons, armor, etc
- do elite missions, both for farming and for fun
- grind all the titles
- play casual PvP(RA, FA, JQ and AB)
- go into more serious PvP(TA, HA, GvG)

I beg to differ!

While admittedly it's not as bad as some Korean mmos, it's still a grind fest.

In this game like others you have to do a lot of things repeatedly.

Repeatedly = grind.

most of the time I hear grind, I think of killing things to gain experience... but killing things for quests and missions is more just questing. You can't expect not to have to kill anything... (unless you are the one pacifist player in WoW.... that guys crazy)...

Anyway, I just hit level 20 too, and I've been doing what most of them said. Once you get your armor, it sort of just becomes fun PVX times, because now you stand where everyone else stands.
