I'm a bit bored with my sin and am planning on making a new alt. toon and need some suggestions ( i know i know it sounds silly). Here's a bit of background info:
I love pvp and just got my r1 gladiator title as a pvp Monk. I don't care much about NM. Anyone can do those. I'm more concerned with HM VQ/Missions. I've got all the games. I don't mind seeing a lot of yellow number popping up on my screen if it means I'm providing great support.
Currently I'm kinda leaning towards a Paragon or a Ranger. I'm not sure if Imbagon is the only way to effectively do HM--if it is, then Paragon should get boring real soon, right?
My choices are Warrior, Ranger, Monk, Ritualist or a Paragon. Any suggestion would be appreciated. BTW the way elite armor/gears look on those classes bear some importance to me
Before you suggest, I have tried all those classes but to get to HM I have to spend a lot of time on each one before I can decide if I like it or not, right?

If you have completed the campaigns on your Assassin then you can take any of your other characters into hard mode at any time.
I don't like the Paragon armour unless you like wearing skirts, and in HM you'll most likely be running an Imbagon which while effective can get a bit tiring after a while, you don't have to run it but when partying with others it will most likely be expected.
I haven't played as a Ritualist so can't really comment.
Monk has a decent variation of builds to run, certain elite skills are viable in different areas. The armour looks ok and it can also be used for farming etc.
Ranger is also pretty versatile and like monks they're popular in PvP. They don't provide as much party support as the other 3 though but are very versatile in attack with different build options even in PvP (Thumper, Daggers, etc.)

flame away, but I say go MESMER. Many different options and builds to play, not just cryway. Of all your choices listed I would go Ranger, like the guy above me says, many different and fun variations to choose from on a ranger. On warrior you will just find yourself spamming dragonslash and save yourselves!

Arsinn, my brother plays a mesmer...they are fun in pve and godly in pvp. I just didn't want to "copy" him.
BTW I can't rupt good most of the times. But I hear rangers are good at spreading conditions in HM and damage through some bow attacks. Too bad beast mastery is so meh.

Necros have a bit of variation in builds, and are godly in HM.
Build Possibilities:
N/Rt Healer
N/A AP MoP etc + Discord heroes
SS
Or any other build that abuses SR

I would suggest either mesmer or ranger - they're both very versatile and can use a variety of builds so you never get bored.

How about rits? i know they are amazing healers. but in HM can they damage in any way other than Spam Spirit 1, 2, 3/teleport spirits combo? I personally don't think Spirit Strength/a physical weapon is a very good idea in HM.
CrustyEarl
Rit/Mez for some Interesting Combos. (Thats gona be my next build too) Downside is starting in Factions again...

BTW can Rits damage in HM? how about with spirits?

I like rits..not only do they have unique armor but they can heal and do decent damage as well.
I went trhough hardmode playing ritspike with some friends. Ritspike is also a good build to play in HA but it is a little slow.
