Can I buy a trilogy pack and add it to my existing Prophecies + Eye of the North account? It's actually cheaper to buy all three together then to buy Factions and Nightfall separately.
My thought was to add the key, log in and out once, then run the installer to get the most of the content and only have to stream updates.
Can anyone confirm if this works? Thanks!

Just add the key; there is no need to run the install on the disk.
Guild Wars downloads all chapters and the expansion on your PC by default, and keys grant you access. You may want to -image after you add the key, as the new zones will require a download before you load them the first time. The -image command downloads all content to your PC.
Make sure you add the key to your existing account if you want them linked. Once the key is accepted, you may play the new chapters immediately.

Awesome I figured it would work but wanted to double check.
I'll probably use the DVD again, then do the -image for updates. Should be a little quicker then downloading two full campaigns. Thanks for the heads up, the last thing I want to see when starting a new campaign is a 10 minute loading screen

Login to your account.
Go to Edit Account.
Add the Trilogy CDKey
You should then be able to enjoy all the campaigns.
Good luck and have fun.

Was just reading a Wiki about -image, does it force a download for all campaigns or just the ones registered to your account?
I found a few pages on the command line options for GW and none of them specified what it will actually do. Just that it will update and decompress gw.dat so you have the latest version.
If it does them all I might run it overnight while I wait for the game to arrive.

It downloads everything, all campaigns etc.

It will download everything, not just the campaigns you own. So yeah, do a -image overnight. When the game arrives add the cdkey to your account and you'll be playing in no time.

Are you sure? I just ran it, and it finished in less then 10 minutes and only downloaded about 50MB. I'm assuming that was the EotN dungeon's and one or two of the bonus pack missions I haven't done yet.
I did have a trial for all 3 campaigns when I first started playing, but only played Prophecies (~level 10) and Factions (~level 5). I guess I could have more installed then I thought lol.

Most likely you already have most of the client data. if you trialled all three campaigns then you will have most of the stuff in there. The client is normally around 4GB I think.
-image will download all the GW data for all campaigns, it can't not as you don't provide any login info so how does it know which campaigns you own?

Very good point, didn't think of that lol. I assumed since I didn't use a physical install disk and never actually played Nightfall I would be missing a lot more then I actually was. Thanks again!

You can check your .dat file size in the Program folder. If it is between 3-4GB in size then you have the whole download on your pc already.
If it is smaller than that you need to do the -image command download overnight or when you are out to skip playtime downloads of new areas.
