The most underplayed class?

I'm wanting to know the most underplayed class, obviously. Threads created and Posts made don't show enough. Though I am assuming by those at the moment (thus, I think the Ritualist is the least played at the time being), I still would like to know the truth.

Ritualist. Definitely. We need a buff bad.

At least mesmers got those cryer builds for farming and they have a niche in the PvP scene.

Rits got nothing much on both sides but i love em and they're fun to play. Not much use though haha.

They also look cool

Paragon, rit, or mesmer. I'm tempted to say mesmer only because it requires a bit more work to learn how to use it well.

I'm leaning toward rits over mesmers due to cryway's rise in popularity. I'd also place dervishes before imbagons, but I'm only mentioning that 'cause I rarely play mine.

Assuming this isn't just referring to pve, it would be Paragons without a doubt. Rits are at least used in pvp more often, and for mesmers in pve cryway has brought them back, and have always been used in pvp.

lol, for me it's Monk, I can't stand watching red bars, you miss half the action in the game.

As far as the community goes, I reckon it's either Paragon or Rt, altho as said before, Imbagon has made paragon more viable in high end PVE, meaning more people are playing it...

PvP-wise, I'd go with paragons. Mesmers are plenty and ritualists get to run flags in GvG. Paragons aren't all that beneficial due to small party sizes in AB/RA/TA they don't seem to get much action in GvG either.

Id say Paragon no1 wants them anymore since we got cryway

and rits just go Rt/Me with [Cry of Pain] and [spirit rift]

It's too difficult to say which class is the most underplayed. Mesmer, Ritualist and Paragon are probably definitely up there, but given people never PuG anymore, it's hard to gain a real insight into what professions people actually are playing, rather than the professions people are using the stand around in Kamadan with.

Paragon.
People claim they look gay. But so what? A paragon is my main, and quite honestly, don't take this the wrong way, but I think their extra "manly" feel adds to their badassery.

I cannot define how bad the starter armor looks though.

I agree with you Beaver - since nobody PUGS these days it is indeed difficult to say what people are actually playing anymore. I would say that Rt is what I see the least "standing around", but Paragon is pretty close.

it really depends what and how your team is playing.

if you are farming/cry/RoJ, you wont see derv, para, war,

if you are playing balance you wont see as much mes, dervs,

RT's make great volly, barragers due to 16 channeling, good spirit spammers, and ok MM's depending how you do it.

paras with imba, stunning, cruel spear are around lots in balance.

this is what i have seen with in my guild and alliance.

Depends a bit on how you measure.

For fair measurement I'd say exclude farming (team)builds. And look at PvE (since this is Campfire). Only a very limited part of the community would be involved in Farming I'd say.
I think this would make Ritualists, Mesmers and Monks the least played professions.
Assassin would see some usage but mainly the 'I want to be ninja' players.
And I'm assuming that most players will play either solo or in small 'random' groups.
Doesn't have to be PUG, but can also be random players from a guild/alliance.

The reason? Playing monk with H&H is both boring and annoying.
And playing with randoms means you get the blame for a lot of things you can't help.
Mesmers are fun to play but not very effective against large groups (without CoP/VoR).
Many players want to see big damage numbers on the screen, not disabling some foe that's dead in 5 seconds anyway.
The main disadvantage of the Ritualist in my opinion is the static positioning of the spirits. Rt is fun, but not when you want to move accros a field fast. I know there is a PvE skill for that but not all players will have that. They have several very decent spells but those depend on the way of play and the team.
Assassins are squishy and can't in general be used to hold aggro (there are exceptions).
They are the class to move in, kill a target and move out.
Not really something you'd like to do in PvE because of imbalanced groups.

Considering the above I'd say the least profession in PvE is the Ritualist.
Second would be monk or ritualist, fourth would be assassin.

Once we take farming builds into concideration things will change a lot.
Monks will be there, solo, duo or in full teams.
Assassins are used a lot. Mesmers somewhat with CoP.
Only role left out will be Rt.

I think the 'winner' would be Ritualist in both cases

Question has been asked before in another post somewhere on Guru.

Anyway http://gwchars.de gives a rather good indication of professions in GW.
