Live Streaming Trade Search Idea

Recently I had an idea to make trading less of a hassle. Basically, sometimes you face a dilemma when you need to sell/buy something. Do I trade, or do I do something more worth the time? Well, I came up with a way to do both, and got it semi-working as well.

What I did was create a live stream of Kamadan Party Search in order to show a large amount of trades. They way I look at is that you could use those 30 seconds between arena battles, or just a quick peek between mobs in PvE to see what is being bought and sold in Kamadan.

I just wanted to get some more opinions on this idea, and see what you guys think. You can check out my current setup of the idea here, or directly to the stream here. As it stands, I am just testing the idea out, and I can't be constantly in town for it, but I have no problem giving anyone that wants it an example.

Hehe, thanks for the quick replies guys. I didn't realize that the site was being checked. I just made it today, so that would be why. And don't mind my flipping windows and such for now, as I am just running it on my computer, so you see anything that I do. In the future I may think about a permanent trade account for something like this.

that way when you catch something you have been looking for, you can PM the guy/girl and tell him you'll buy it.

but to be fair to all players, even if they dont have NF, i say have it in Kam, LA and Kaineng, maybe EoTN, but not much gets sold there.

I agree I would love to have a stream from each city 24/7. However as it stands this is simply a recording of my screen streaming live and I can't be in all places at once. I do plan on getting a second accnt/comp set up if this is as popular as it could be.

However another thought is rotation. I could possibly rotate towns on a schedule.

Also, I could even grab items for people and deliver (when I have the cash of course) I do that kind of thing all the time anyway, so it would not bother me.

Unfortunately I have to go ahead and shutdown for the night. I will be starting back up tomorrow, with some improvements possibly. Feel free to post any suggestions!

Haha, well an improvement I would say, I dunno if anyone else noticed it, but it seemed that it would only refresh the stream about every 5 minutes near the end, so I would recommend trying to speed up the refresh somehow... Maybe it was just the sheer amount of people trying to connect after getting attention to the stream.

Anyways, it was great and hope to see it tomorrow!

Is 100GB bandwidth even enough if lots of people use the stream?

I'll be perfectly honest, I did not expect this to explode as fast as it did. If my program was not lieing, at one point I had about 20 connections within 10 seconds. If something like this could be done a little more professionally it would be amazing, but as it stands this was just an idea that I was actually able to test.

Anyway, it is up right now, and I will be working on making it a little faster for you guys, only problem is it is a little hard to test on my end =P

Haha I know...I figure you guys can deal with my occasional flip between windows as I try to find some faster alternatives. I will keep myself clean don't worry =P

BTW I just found out that I was streaming a black screen, it should be fixed now
