Hi gamers,
Wasn't too sure where this goes seeing as how this isn't really an issue. Just having trouble deciding between a few keyboards...
So far these are the candidates:
Microsoft Sidewinder X6
- Like the red LEDs and the removable number-pad... also 'cause it matches my Samsung T240
Logitech G15
- I've always bought Logitech, have been pretty satisfied up until my current keyboard (mx5000... major fails with Bluetooth)
Razer Tarantula
- I know it's a great gaming keyboard but not really liking the design
Razer Lycosa
- Like the simple design but have read that the keys are really loud
Here are the major deciding factors:
- Quiet keys
- Slim key design (I know the Lycosa and X6 keys are slim)
- anti ghosting (the 2 Razers have this)
- media keys (which all 4 have)
Nice Perks:
- LED Keys (which all 4 have)
At the moment I'm leaning towards the X6 just because it matches my monitor lol (the red LED lit keys with the red Touch of Color button) but am not sure about
Anyways, was just hoping some of you have these keyboards and are willing to share their experience with it. And of course any other keyboard suggestion is welcome. Price is not a concern at the moment... but doesn't mean I'm going to blow $300 on a keyboard
THANKS

But thanks anyways.
EDIT: Apparently I'm blind and probably stupid. Did not see the sub-forums in that section...
Could a mod kindly move this there please

i've been eyeing this one for a while now:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16823227002
very cheap, slim keyboard design, rubber tips on keys. the only thing that might be a problem is the nonstandard key layout (extra \ key next to the left shift). it doesn't glow, but that feature is useless.

The G15 is an excellent keyboard, I can only recommend it. Unless you want to be a unique snowflake, it's great for gaming and typing alike. The Razor Tarantula and Lycosa are also great boards, you wouldn't go wrong with any of them.

im thinking of getting a new keyboard myself, currently have a G15 and i got no complaints about it. I strongly recommend it, but i really didnt use the LCD screen as much as i thougth i would.

personally, the "BEST" gaming keyboard would be one where it:
A) does not have a numpad
B) numpad on the left side instead of the right
C) has a numpad that is removable/movable
the reason is that it is more comfortable to game with both hands closer together, and removing/moving the numpad is the best way to achieve it. not to mention, with the numpad on the left side, it also gives you more keys to play with.

I've got this (Merc Stealth).. and I love it!! It's only slighty larger than a standard keyboard. It takes a little getting used too, but it's nice to have the most commonly used things accessible with one hand that you can program to your liking.. and the larger WASD pad is great for kiting...For me this is a great keyboard, but the others you have listed I've also heard/read great things about. You should try to test each of them out if you can (I did at a local Fry's electronics) and make your decision on which keyboard fits YOU best. Everyone has they're own preferences.

I recommend the G15 too. It may not be the quietest thing out there(or atleast my Version 1 isn't) but it's a great keyboard nonetheless. The LCD can also easily become a favorite feature of it, provided you glance at some of the apps people have made for it. I just love being able to IM via aim/msn(and others) and navigate and control my playlist in aimp without having to minimize my game. As well as do other things and see other bits of info on it too.
