How about allowing us to put the Signet of Capture on Heroes? Just like going to a hero skill trainer, this would add the skills to the account, but not to me unless I used a tome.

You can't use pve skills on hero's.

WHERE DO YOU THINK

Whats the point? Why not put that sig on your char and use it?

So instead of just using 1 sig of capture and unlock on you as well as the whole account. Might as well use it on a hero who if you used it yourself would have the opportunity to have it unlocked anyways but lets waste a Tome on you so you can both have the skill while also wasting time and money. Great idea.

There is only one purpose to this. And that is to cap elites from multiple professions in one area. But, for those that are not yours, it would just be unlocking and, in my opinion, it would be easier and cheaper to 1) cap the elite yourself or 2) unlock via Balthazar faction.

Agreed. The issue I think OP is trying to tackle is multiple professions for elites in an area. Still, 500g to change 2nd profession and 1k for a CapSig is gonna be far easier (and ultimately more beneficial) than implementing a whole new functionality.

It's a PvE skill.

Heroes don't use PvE skills.

So to make skill capping easier? Being able to set your heros and cover all classes in an area then loading them with a cap skills. Hit the area once and cap all the skills all at the same time.

Where is the fun in that I love running a character over and over and over on an area to get all the skills especially in 1st campaign when you never know what you will get on a spawn

Even if it wasn't counted as a pve skill, you couldn't use it on a hero. Unlike all other skills, it gets used up the first time you use it. So while you may put a certain skill on yourself, it's still available to put on your hero. As opposed to a cap sig, which if you put on yourself should not be available to put on your hero, but would be, which would create a coding headache. I'd rather they worked on gw2 and future additions to gw1.

If your going to use a cap sig you might as well use it on yourself. It unlocks it to your heroes too.

it would be pretty awesome if u could put sig of capture on ur heros and u learn the skill when capped. that way u can go on long skill capping runs of entire areas instead of re-zoning =D. this would just be cool. no reason to implement it because it would make things too easy and we don't want that do we? =)

Anet has made everything in this game easier as it is. Yes, zoning back and forth to an area is a pain, some of the skills are way out of the way, but we all had to do it, and Im tired of reading how people want everything to be easier. You already have consets and summoning stones, dp removal and consumables for skill, health, energy, and speed buffs. Is it repetative? Yes. Deal with it.

Go and rack up some Balthazar Faction and you can use 8 signets on your bar.

personally i think they need to change it from a pve skill to a skill that cant be used in pvp but that it dosnt use up one of your pve skill slots i find it to be super annoying and it makes me rebuild my build because i like using pve skills.

Edit: i relaized i didnt address the issue at hand well if they added the above change it would make it so people could run bars that are much more effective for killing a boss and would make the title go a lot faster. so sighned only if they change the skill form take up a pve skill slot.

Not any more. Since EOTN at least, capsigs have counted towards the limit of PvE skills you can carry, so you can only have at most 3.

I suspect the point here might be to allow a player who has Nightfall but not Factions to have a PvE-focussed method of gaining NF elites for Assassin and Ritualist heroes, which is something that they can't currently do. Spent a hero point on a 'hero capture signet', have a hero capture the skill, and Anton's your uncle.

I think as well that this is the basic use for the OP idea. It makes perfect sense. /signed
